  3. Stereotypical driver busted for speeding...

i was about to say the same thing! but still... what an idiot not really, most parts of welly road is straight and down hill! very easy to get up speed. also he would have been in excess of 130km/h to 140km/h. may have been a gtr and not a gtst as someone said as they are cheap as now and plenty around. so what if its over the power to wieght ratio. majority of members here own cars that are over the power to weight ratio. and many of us have disable the speed restrictor/limiter. the cops were too linient, they should have impounded the car for at least 3 monts (extenuating circumstances are present to bypass the initial 48hr impound period). then they should take him to court and make him have a massive fine (about 5k) as well as court costs and impound and towing fees. then they should take away his priviledge to drive for at least 12 months and also give him about 12 months of a community based order at may be the alfred hospital trauma ward to see first hand the damage road accident have to the human body and the emmotional trauma that follows. angelo

  8. Vietnam Travel

Frankly speaking, I've never been to Vietnam but I really want to. Right now I'm in Decorah https://worldcams.tv/united-states/decorah/eagles for business needs and then I'll fly to Indonesia. Maybe next year I'll choose Vietnam as a place to visit.
  9. Can anyone tell me if the jdm indicator /light switch stalk will fit the adm model? I want to fit fog lights on my adm s15 using an aftermarket driving light loom and relay (I know that adm doesn't have fog light loom) and I want to use the jdm indicator stalk with the fog light switch so that I don't have to mount another switch somewhere and make a cleaner install.
  10. Adelaide Dyno Tuners

Hi Everyone, Long story short my mechanic I've been with since 2012 are closing their doors. Now needing a new workshop to take on my car. I need suggestions on who to consider. My car is a 180sx running a SR20 and need someone who can confidently tune, service and repair it. I'm in the Para Hills region and obviously don't want to travel extensive amounts and would like someone local if possible. Hit us up with suggestions and experiences. More discussion the better. Cheers
  11. So, I threw the cap and rotor into the car. Here are some pics of that process. Just a couple notes, the car does have some nasty oil leakage. You can see it on the valve cover. I wanted to pressure wash the motor and degrease the hell out of it but I haven't had it running reliably enough to take it out of my parking garage to be able to do so. Also, if you take note, there is also a broken clip going into the CAS. The previous owner thought it was a smart idea to just plug the pins into the connector. Another possible issue that could be causing problems with the spark. I did receive a new set of clips to change this connector and a couple other ones I found like this. Here is the car without its cap. You can see the CAS there. If you do this as well, I highly recommend getting that gasket in the parts pic I posted above. Mine was as hard as a rock when I removed it. The new rotor: And the new cap: AND... after all that... the car still had a damn misfire. It would still run roughly. The idle was a bit better which was nice but it was still missing. I then started thinking maybe vaccuum leak. Found the PCV valve hose was completely cracked all the way through so I trimmed the piece that was broken and reattached the hose. NOW, the car won't even crank over... WTF! So, at this point... I'm left with 2 options... Option A... keep throwing money at this worthless NA motor to try and hope for the best.... OR Option B... change the engine with a turbo one. Granted, the motor I want to put in it is quite a bit more expensive over here in Malaysia and I may just have to wait to put that one in. So.... I may just say F it and pick up an RB25 and install it. It's quite a bit cheaper over here as lots of people import them and put them in their Cefiros and R32 Skyline GTS-Ts. I was considering RB20 since it was more plug and play but literally a $100 more and I can get the RB25. To me it just makes sense to put a cool motor into it rather than wasting money on parts that aren't doing the job. What do you guys think?
  12. *UPDATE* Just a quick update on the engine. I ordered a new distributor cap and rotor for the Cefiro along with an inner gasket seal. Here are the parts I ordered: Something to take note that I wasn't sure of when I ordered them... the rotor and the distributor cap came with new hardware which was nice. I had ordered a 'screw kit' that came with all the bolts for the distributor setup separately which turned out to be an unnecessary purchase but ah well... more screws for the misc. collection. I took some side by side comparison shots to show you how important it is to keep up on basic maintenance. Clearly, the previous owner hadn't changed these parts in God knows how long. Check em out: If you look at the contact points on the old distributor, they were shaved down by at least a cm or 2 which would easily explain some of the misfiring problems.
  13. Wanted... S15 fog lights

I'm looking for a pair of S15 fog lights, preferably in South Australia, but would consider posted from interstate. Thanks
  14. Hi have a ca18det which is over fueling badly, blows black smoke.. idles lumpy as.. plugs go black pretty quick. Seems to be alright at high rpm if you slowly build them up. if you quickly hit accelerator it’s like it floods and almost dies and is not responsive at all I have no vacuum leaks, if I block off pcv it dies, i have changed the maf cleaned AAC valve ( -also doesn’t really change idle when playing around with adjustment screw) everything seems to be working getting power where it should and what not.. engine was running perfectly fine before it was swapped into this car plugged gauge on fuel Line and it is like 60psi/4 bar ? Not sure how accurate that is but pretty sure it should be like half
  15. Hi guys. This is probably a very commonly covered topic, but today, i wanted to make a video to document the matter, and help those who may not know how to do this. This tutorial will show you how to swap your Coil Packs in your s15 if you find that they are failing, or causing misfire. *Background story - My car was idling fine and such, accel was fine in first 2 gears, but when in 3rd gear upwards, it would stutter and splutter, causing issues with acceleration under boost. I had a tip from some guys on the facebook group, and was told to check my ignition system. I had plans to change coils and plugs, but as i had a spare set of coils, though i would do them first. Changed coils, and did not have to touch my plugs, the issue is now gone. Please follow below for any assistance or instructions. Please see my video for full instructional and visual. For those who might not like watching videos, or tight on data, i will write the instructions below. Please follow closely. If you have a similar issue or need to change your packs, you will need to make sure you have your car turned off. Pop the bonnet, and you may see a silver plate, or a plate of sorts on top of your engine. If you don't have this, you can skip to the next step, if you have one, you will need to remove it with an alan key. Once the silver plate is removed, you will need a 10ml socket to remove the 4 bolts holding the packs in. When unplugging, please be extremely careful, as you can break the clips quite easily if you are too rough, as they are now very brittle after about 20 years of heat cycles. When the plugs are removed from the packs, you can gently pull them up, you may need some force as they have grommets holding them in. When the coils out, at this point, you can just replace it, or you can take it a step further, and change your spark plugs too. I recommend the ngk iridium plugs, they are supposed to last a long time, and are gapped perfectly if you are running a similar setup to me at 15 PSI. If you decided to swap your plugs, make sure not to over tighten them when screwing them in. Once they are in, you can follow the process to swap the coils, but backwards, when installing the new coils. After you have done all this, turn on the car and see if the issue persists, take it for a cruise, and if all is well, congratulations, you have saved a trip to the mechanic! Please feel free to leave me any feedback as it helps me make future content or tutorials! All the best, see you next time!

    11 year old thread revival?
  20. Hi everyone sorry for bring up a old thread but i needed some help on this, I have a Nissan Silvia S15 (200SX) been with S13 (5speed), S14 (5speed) & S15 (6speed) gearbox. Recently i have got a chance to get either a Z33 or Z34 due to a mate have both car that going to be scrapped soon. There is a few question i have been researching but getting kind of mixed answer which i like to clear off. Before i start buying the conversion kit 1. Z33 or Z34 a better choice? (some saying Z34 bellhousing is shorter than Z33?) 2. Mazworx SRVQ Bellhousing after cutting the bell housing of stock. the gap inbetween can it be seal up or can i cut actually shorter off so that the gap will be closed? 3. does it need hammering of tunnel. (i read some said that mazworx adapter does not really need hammering) 4. Can i retain S15 Dual mass flywheel & clutch? 5. Is there any NVH if convert to the above mention transmission? 6. would like external slave pump just like stock s15 6 speed 7. what is with the synchro match & speedo thing as i am not quite sure on this section? i am so sorry that i have to came to check with you as i cant get a definite answer on this part.
  21. Hi BigFist hows your Z33 conversion so far?
  22. Cleaning engine bay

Guys, is there anyone who have tried cleaning it with electric water pressures? They say it's a decent option and that's why I want to get one. I found an article with spx3000 pros/cons review and I believe it's a decent option. What are your thoughts on it? By the way, thanks for recommendations. I'll take a note of some of them.
  23. You and Your Bike

awesome bikes, guys wanna get one too someday
  24. M5 - airstrip crash.

Gosh, this is really serious. So bad that cars are so dangerous. Even abiding by rules doesn't save you from accidents. That's why it's important to pay attention to safety, it's necessary to improve it. When I had a baby I spent a lot of time on choosing a baby seat. I decided on Britax Marathon ClickTight 2019 after reading several reviews. The best option to enhance safety here is to avoid getting around by car of course but sometimes it's inevitable.
  25. How to get off data from Android?
