14/3/11

after

2 weeks of gastro and dropping to 89kgs from 95kg

and

passing out on a 100kg clean and jerk, dropping it on my thigh from overhead and missing my kneecap just.. still swollen after 4 weeks

i smashed gym yesterday

100kg clean and jerks, 80kg clean and jerks, 140kg squats all played a part in circuit work where i rested for less than 2 mins at a time.

also

overhead press of 140kg behind neck jerk.

trying to catch a mate who did 175kg on the weekend.

i feel like 140kg was easy. should have 150kg in the tank.

weigh 92kg, bought a shitload of supplements to work with 1.4 kg of chicken a day and the same value in carbs.

inbetween all that, i ran 12km the other night in an hour and a half in the rain with a gas mask on... did that for mental fortitude.

time to start the run up to 100kg.

update.

getting an eleiko weightlifting bar

and a texas power bar

bumpers from kettlebell aus

already got the keg, and 5 tyres going up to 400kg+

shits gonna get real.

i can envisage the pain of doing circuit work with the bar and a gas mask on.

getting a mate to work on building a prowler and a rack.

played around with clean pulls yesterday. first solid time doing them. reached 160kg for 3 as a max and plenty of reps on the 130kg.. it feels awesome that 130kg is light as f**k after doing 160kg.. heavy squats tonight.

for those who have followed my journal.. this is a comeback tour for the long run

slipped l5 s1 disc from a 200kg deadlift with bad technique middle of 2011..

went from 95kg around 12% body fat

to currently at 83kg at 9.5% body fat

been a few months getting back into it..

today did power cleans

80kg x 5
80kg x 5
100kg x 5
100kg x 5
110 kg x 5
110kg x6
110kg x6
45kg dumbells flat bench for 10
110kg x6
45kg dumbells flat bench for 11
110kg x6
45kg flat bench dumbells for 10
110kg x6

plenty of 15 rep chin ups inbetween

best front squat is 110kg for 5 for 5 sets
back squat is 120kg for 5 reps for 5 sets

best dumbells is 50kg for 5 reps for 6 sets..

plenty left in the tank

bench is around 130kg for triples

deadlifting 160kg for 5 reps 3 sets with shocking technique ie back round of the floor and hips straight up..

will back the weight off and work technique...

All in All i am more stronger pound for pound..

not touching chest with bench every rep (arms reach parallel to floor) as per physios instructions (left shoulder impingment/downward external rotation of rear scap)

not going below parallel with front squats and back squats when training heavy due to left hip twist when atg is attempted in the back and front squat..

reaching parallel and flying straight up, focusing on strong form, and core, no twists in the hip and perfect technique..
