Installed the pump in my S15 last night and it is a piece of piss. It is a tight squeeze to get it into the pump harness but it is only a 30min job.
Just follow the service manual for the removal of the existing pump and you cant go wrong. If I can do it anyone can.

i'm interested in a walbro pump and sard pressure reg, will that be $415 delivered??? and does the pressure reg come with everything necessary to bolt on e.g adapter etc... and do you have a part number for the reg??? is there only one type of reg for the sr20det???
also do you have any pics of the regs???
Posted 22 November 2004 - 06:00 PM
The reg is a universal reg and does not include the SR adapter but this can be purchase quite cheap from most workshops ($30)
I can not see a part number on the box or reg but the instructions say SRB01-SRA05
Here a couple of pics of the reg:

and what difference will there be between using one and not
Has anyone had a noticeable increase in fuel consumption
from using the fuel pump or is it pretty much the same???

Caged Beast - Fuel consumption is slightly more after the install but either a tune or installation of a FPR will assist in reducing this
Mikymouse - DOA warranty replacement

5 pumps left in stock
Why pay double the price for a crapier Bosch pump????
I use to sell the Bosch series of pumps and found more than 2 out of 10 pumps were returned due to failure, with the walbro I have not had one return yet
