96 impreza rx 5 speed to 6 speed conversion

just wqondering is this as simple as putting a 6 speed gearbox in or is there a lot more changes that need to be made?
i.e. diff ratios out or if it simply doesn't fit?
any feedback would be much appreciated.

whats your main purpose of upgrading to a 6 speed manual? what sort of advantage are you trying to gain?

i dont know why you would want to mate as it would cost you near on as much as your car is worth to do it.
yes everything is different from the 5 speed to the 6 speed.
if it was a wrx i could understand it but for an rx its just a waste of money.lol

diff drive shafts tail shaft transfer ect all have to be 6 speed items.

not really worth it for a RX

I got quoted 12,000 to do it to my wrx!

I think ill just spend 2k to change syncros to a stronger one.
