Curious to see your dyno graph Scotties15 to see how your power curve is with the Procams

Procams will shift the power band to the right so at 4k rpm all in its not too bad, but with a few tricks you still can get it on earlier.

With E85 you can run low timing and lean to get it on without burning everything on the exhaust side, with 98RON you can run low timing however spray more fuel to cool down the hotside. However pull too much timing and you'll end up making the car absolutely gutless.

This is why you need a dyno haha.

he's ordered new valve springs, and hopefully have them fitted in a fortnight.. however dyno session will be delayed, we've found that several (3 of 4) turbo to manifold nuts have fallen off LOL..

With my experience on de sr's I can't help but feel that if it was valve floating like suggested that you definitely would have broken a rocker arm by now.

Don't say that... lol

Went all out at trackday last Monday and nothing broken except missing nuts (can blame my new engine mounts for that)

Unless it sounds like a rex and running on 3 cylinders, it wouldn't be a broken rocker arm.

Broke mine in 3 pieces about a week ago at the last track day, thought it was a coilpack until I pulled the rocker cover off.

Mine just went in to get Tomei Springs removed and Supertech Springs in. Deff not a rocker arm because issue would be on any boost / driving. Mike only has a flat spot over 17psi. Under that she pulls hard and smooth to redline. I hope it's Springs because other then that we have gone over everything else.

tomei are not rubish.
the springs were just pushed beyond their limits.
if they constantly failed, deformed or didnt work in general then id call them rubish.
they are softer springs to cause less damage to valvetrain.

now that being said, supertech being a stiffer spring to provide more seat pressure under high boost is better suited to your application.

you car is also on 98, makes overall less power and less torque than Phils' S15 which is on E85 :)

Engine is an air pump, remember that!

I would do a leak down test. I know it seems hard to believe that you could bend a valve by hand cranking, but if you really were hitting valves/pistons, something had to give to rotate past the interference.
