Haha yeah its getting better, I can almost look over my left shoulder today. I'll leave it till monday; can't pull or press and its right where the bar goes for squats.

I needed a week off anyway, i cant remember the last time i had a whole week off!

Limiting my workouts to 1 hour so the intensity is higher, I'll be adding more sets as i get fitter...hopefully.

just a suggestion...maybe try to do some less weight with the squats but for more reps for the next session or two. Because you have been hammering your squats hard for the last 5 gym sessions, perhaps giving them a bit of a break from heavy weights and adding a few more reps might get them to work a bit better next time you go heavy...

Yeah you may be right there, i need to grease the groove a bit. I'm using too much quads and not enough hamstrings out of the bottom as well so it could be much more efficient.

haha thanks Mick, good to hear you are getting back into it B) . You should give the Captains of Crush Grippers a go, i haven't had any more wrist issues since using them. Although we will see how it goes when the powercleans get heavier...

I weighed 84.7kg this morning, i some how lost weight after eating truckloads of utter crap over Christmas. On the bright side that bodyweight press is "only" 12.5kg away :P .

^^^ ah righto did you get them from kettlebells Aus or from somewhere else? Which ones (strength) did you get? I might have to look at getting a set. Yeah, doing incorrect powercleans is how I pulled a ligament but I know better now so I'm trying to improve my form. I could really use some plastic training disks. Thanks for the advice.

I got mine from kettlebells Aus before i realised they're much cheaper direct from Ironmind US. I got the trainers and #1's initially which do the job well enough tho i'll be getting the #2's soon too. Those three should be all I'll ever need. The trainers are a good level to start at initially and can be used for warming up when you manage to close the #1's after a little practice.

Training discs would be very useful indeed, powercleans demand so much practice. I think Racking the bar on the shoulders properly is going to save the wrists from alot of stress. Good luck with it!

I think i have tendonitis from overdoing the squats. Anyone else had this? Not sure whether i should just do light weights or no weight squats or just not squat at all for 4 weeks. Are deadlifts still ok to do? hmmm. Ive had the burning feeling while squatting, i first mention it on the 13/11/08 and i've only just realised something is probebly not right. Its not just the usual DOMS either. Kinda sucks.

"The quadriceps tendon can become inflamed at the insertion point at the top of the patella. Over use is the most common cause. Symptoms include:

Pain during and after exercise. Contracting (tightening) the quads with the leg straight causes pain.

Pain can also be felt when pressing in along the top of the kneecap.

Stiffness the day after training can also occur.

Pain when standing from a crouched position."

Yep, it's definately Tendonitis. Fark. Thanks to Turbostyler for telling me to take it easy  , probably saved me a ruptured tendon or something dramatic.

Nah thank you Pat!
I get exactly the same thing, I just usually thought it was my dodgy knee playing up, until i realised it would hurt when I flexed the quad. Is there any idea how to prevent that tendonitis...

For some reason my body is prone to get tendonitis alot in my arms and legs??? I got a bit of it now in my left arm and a tiny bit in my right knee again...
