Just wondering how I could go about disposing old oils when I do change them. I honestly have no idea due to never changing the oil in my car myself.

Your local dump should have oil disposal areas. Find you local one and give them a call or just swing by. Usually you pour it into a big container there and you go on your way :thumb:

Most council tips have a collection point in which you can drop off 20L or less for free (I sneak in 4 x 6L bottles - they don't check).

However they go through this mob

http://www.mulhernwaste.com.au

So give them an email and see what they can do or where they can suggest you drop it off (if it's a big enough quantity)

Dig hole.
Pour in oil.
Fill with dirt originally extracted, to make hole.

Pour into old coke bottles and put lid back on, throw in bin.

Or as AP said :P

Oil should be disposed properly though, that way the Mulherns can have a big fire at wing field and piss it all into the atmosphere like last year.

If you're anything like the deadshits out near my place pour it across 2 lanes on a quiet road and do single peggers.

Loooool, They claim it goes to a "super"furnace up at whoopwhoop - they didn't like it when I said "why bother sending it up when you have a yearly burn off anyway".

Sounds like a Royal Australian Navy crossing the border (equator) ceremony.

Burying it along with other fossil fuel derived products helps to create new oil reserves for future generations. So the next time you go to recycle that old oil, think again and consider your children's future.

Or Mulherns

The Tip near me allows me to dump oil for free. Obviously they want us to do it properly when we empty it - so its free.
Pour used oil into the area and keep the bottles for the next time you change the oil.
