i'm new to this site too after reading this fitness forum for about a year and just joined up recently so i can ask questions (after doing a search) and i've learnt alot from here and the ptc website.
dude to call these guys jealous of your lifts is a bit of a laugh, have you even read some of the post?.. i always see them giving credit where credit is due. its just that there have been certain individuals who have come on here with fake pictures and fake lifts before.
the lifts you have posted up on your profile are pretty impressive with your bodyweight that makes us wonder if they are real or not. i'm 115kgs and at the gym i go to i lift more then most of the guys there and i know its thanks to the guys on this forum and the ptc website that i got there. there are alot of guys on here that are really strong and im not ashamed to admit that there are guys nearly half my weight lifting more then me.
if you post up videos to back up your claim of the weights used i'm pretty sure all you'll hear is praise, and with the amounts your lifting why would you be embarrassed to record them?

What are your short-term goals?: Currently bulking, hoping to hit 90kgs by June
Long term goals?: Bulk to 90kg, cut to a 10-12% body fat physique, play foward in the Eastern Football League in 2011 and possibly compete at the ANB in a few years
About myself: I am a 20 year old 3rd year Business student at Swinburne Uni. I own and love working on my 96 nissan 180sx (hence being on the forums!). I have a love and passion for fitness and bodybuilding. I intend on completing a further qualification at the Aus Institute of fitness.

Where do you train?: Mates Place / AFL Club gym
How long have you been lifting?: Just starting
What are your short-term goals?: Drop to 70 kgs, then build back to 80kgs.
Long-term goals?: Have a good healthy looking body, be able to run the city to surf in less than 60 mins, get picked for first grades in AFL.
A bit about yourself: 182 cms and 75 - 77 kgs, Started playing AFL again this year and its really prompted me to get fit again. Been reading this forum for a while and the guys on here push out some really impressive numbers and its inspiring to someone like me. Hopefully in a couple of months I can post up a before an after like a few of the magic stories on here!

What are your short-term goals?: Increase muscle mass whilst gaining as little fat as possible
Long term goals?: Increase my bench by 20kg, squat to 180kg, military to 100kg, deadlift to 200kg

Where do you train?: My mates backyard
How long have you been lifting?: since I was 15 on and off, super serious since 2004, properly since 2006.
What are your short-term goals?: Rehab my shoulder and compete in a raw powerlifting comp. Squat 200kg for reps, bench 170kg and deadlift 250kg.
Long term goals?: See my abs before I'm 30, make an elite raw total, squat 250kg for reps, bench 200kg, deadlift 300kg, MP 150kg, open a strength training facility with my training partner, maybe try a strongman comp, stay injury free.
A bit about yourself: 5'6, 92kg, current gym maxes: squat-200kg/bench-160kg/deadlift-240kg. I've just returned from 3 years in the UK and am returning to uni to study law next year. The only thing I love more than training is my wife... just.

What are your short-term goals?: next 6 months, brisbane to sydney cycle in august, hells bells race in october get my body fats lower currently sitting at 8.57% and get fitter, start studying personal training in september
Long term goals?: Fit for life, learn more about fitness, training and nutrition. push myself to always be better, faster, stronger.
A bit about yourself: 5'10, 74kg. not big on lifting thus bench sitting on 85kg nothing massive but slowly improving im more inclined to cardio work, including boxing, spin, outdoor road cycling, mountain climbing and always looking for more challenges. i enjoy all aspects of fitness and want to move into more area and learn further and improve. abdominal training and workouts are the best. still do weights on arms, chest and legs but find it to be a bit boring by comparison. also building a s14.5 and looking for another 180sx for a daily.

What are your short-term goals?: Get ripped for summer
Long term goals?: Reach 95kg shredded
A bit about yourself: Used to be a bit chubby, lost the weight from playing soccer. Became relatively skinny weighing in at about 62kg before I decided to join my Uni gym with a friend last year in March. Bulked up to 85kg now and can't see myself stopping anytime soon. I've trained several guys, and still continue to train people. I don't believe in charging people for my help, the satisfaction of seeing them accomplish their own health and fitness goals is enough!

How long have you been lifting?: 2 Weeks
What are your short-term goals?: Put on weight... My metabolism is way too high. Within 12 months I want to do a superman pushup.
Long term goals?: 95 - 100kg ripped
A bit about yourself: Im 6'1 and a touch over 87kg couldn't tell you my bodyfat but I know it wouldn't be much. Late 08 early 09 I was going to the gym 3 times a week for about 6 months in total. Job ended up sending me out of town for work so I stopped. Only recently got a job in town so now I can start getting into it properly. Looking at min 3 times a week with two mates who are brilliant training partners.
Tried deadlifting for the first time on Monday, started at 10 reps of 60kg. Was too easy, increased 10kg each set, got up to 10 reps of 90kgs and decided I should make sure I can do that before I try any bigger. After Wednesdays effort - same sort of deal only ended up doing 2 x 10 @ 90 - thinking by Monday try for triple figures.
I have no idea what weights are realistic for me, so I guess I'll keep pushing myself until it hurts.

Location: Central Coast/Newcastle, NSW
Where do you train?: Anytime Fitness Wyoming, mates garage gym
How long have you been lifting?: On and off for about 2 years, but only the last month or so seriously and with some direction
What are your short-term goals?: Focus on getting my shoulders and arms stronger, continue gaining some muscle and continue to lift heavier consistently after 18 years.
Id also like to begin some mixed martial arts classes locally just as a hobby, not to compete.
Long term goals?: Follow my routine, keep generally fit, lift as heavy as some as the older guys at the gym
A bit about yourself: I only began working out because I broke my collar bone in 2 places just before I turned 16, and gym exercises were part of the physio for recovery.
I kept up working out after I had rebuilt my shoulder because I enjoyed it, but didnt have the time to work out regularly due to other sporting commitments. Recently a good mate turned his garage into a home gym, so it's now a lot easier to keep it up and make some progress.
I also have coeliac disease (gluten, wheat, yeast intolerant), and im still looking into what protein powders are gluten free. Ive been using Musashi Bulk and N Force because from what I can tell they are good for me to use. So ill get into the forum and see if people can answer my questions about other proteins.

Where do you train: Genesis Gym, Casula & 'out in nature' - Sounds gay i know, but i get alot from going on runs and finding things that i can use for a few quick sets of something. Changes it up a bit.
How long have you been lifting: On and off for around 2 years. Only just starting to get into it seriously now since about 3-4months ago after breaking my leg in 3 places a little under 2 years ago. (Longest recovery ever...)
Long term goals: In short, just to get fit and add a bit of muscle to myself. Dont want to bulk right up, but rather have lean muscle.
A bit about yourself: Im 173cm and just on 76kgs. Have basically started training just to become a fitter person all round. Have played football (soccer) all my life, but now i just want to put on a bit of size and help myself become a bit more confident and overall a more healthy person. At the moment im having a bit of trouble with getting my diet set, but its slowly coming together and im starting to see results which is nice.

About myself: Been studying nutrition (not formal) for 6 years, always struggled with being underweight, bulked from 65kg to 76kg in 3 months then lost it all, have done bodybuilding type routines and crossfit and now focusing on rippetoes starting strength, i'm extremely passionate about nutrition and have read 20+ books, tons of blogs and listened to 100's of hours of podcasts from nutritional experts to increase my knowledge, passionate about fitness etc, hoping I can contribute something to this forum.

hey guys i used to be on this forum few yrs ago got out of cars coz it was costing me too much haha. i used to be 132kgs got down to 102kgs have put on bit of muscle but now i want to put on 5-10kgs of lean muscle. i have been training in muay thai for the past 2 n a bit years and im sick of fighting giants haha. so ive decided to get serious bout it all n put that muscle on to be more competitive

A bit about yourself: in a nutshell i got sick of being a fat *milkshake* so about this time last year started cleaning up my act and exercising,got down to 115kg but lost a large amount of muscle doing it with just cardio and realised i was going about it the wrong way so i hit the gym to get it all back whilst. Been working pretty hard for 6 months to get to where i am now and ultimately im here for the long run.

Long term goals?: Would like to get to 12-16% body fat with a muscular physique
A bit about yourself: Well, I tried the easy road; started a 'milkshake diet' and lasted about 1 month w/minimal gains. M&M ripped into me when I posted up what I was doing, gave me enough ammunition to get back into the gym and have been working my arse off ever since!! Im now down to around 95kgs from a starting weight of 120.1kg and the muscles are shining through
Oh wow... Wheels fell off the bus; I forgot this section even existed....
Skip forward nearly 6 years, married, career is flourishing and life is good... Except...
I now sit at about 140kg, 186cm...
I am back in here as I have recently developed something akin to sleep apnea; consulted a specialist who advised the sheer weight around my neck puts pressure on the ausophegeal tract when relaxed and severely effects oxygen intake. Essentially my fat neck is suffocating me...
Nutrition is the first and most basic step for me; this and involving the smallest level of exercise is required before I can confidently dive into the gym.
I have to admit, considering how fit I have been in years gone by it is pretty disappointing that things have gone so far awry!
Will drop in from time to time once things get a move on.

How long have you been lifting?: Properly lifting for about 3months. At first was mostly focus on weight loss
What are your short-term goals?: Cut the remaining tiny bit of belly fat
Long term goals?: Not too big but lean asethetic body.
A bit about yourself: I have always been a tiny bit chubby growing up but not a complete fat *milkshake* but since I started uni a few years back. I let myself go to the point I denied that I gained over 35kg. Not being that tall doesn't help either overall.
All due to stress of uni, constantly be on the computer sitting, eating unhealthy foods and of course drinking.
One day went to buy a singlet, tried it on at the shop and I did not like what I saw and questioned to myself. " What the f**k did I do to myself " This was just about a year ago to this day.
Cleaned up my act, lost 40 kg in 10months with mostly cardio, light lifting and diet. Not until recently I have just properly started lifting.

What are your short-term goals?: hit at least 65kg in the next couple of months. Improve all major lifts.
Long term goals?: to be stronger and better than i am now
A bit about yourself: Well always been skinny but not from a lack of eating. been playing soccer most my life and took up surfing and martial arts roughly 4-5 years back. Aims right now are to gain weight as standing 170cm tall and only weighing 58kg is pathetic even if i can do heaps of pull ups/sit ups/push ups etc i wanna gain some size damn it! so that's what i'm gonna do

How long have you been lifting?: Just about to start PROPERLY, but have been going to the gym for about 2years
What are your short-term goals?: Bulk for the next few months and reach a body size I am happy with (i guess around 80kg), and just get rid of this small gut i have
Long term goals?: Not too big but lean asethetic body. I'll be a PT by March next year, so to be an inspiring, motivational Trainer and help as many people as I can. I would also like to attempt some amateur bodybuilding
A bit about yourself: 25, engaged, always loved sport/fitness, but had a 4year stint where I basically did nothing but eat crap, thankfully my metabolism has always been fast so I didn't balloon, but I have ended up with a bit of a belly. My aim is to own my own PT business, but figure my clients can't take me seriously if i'm not in shape.

What are your short-term goals?: Lose puffy water weight, regain muscle.
Long term goals?: Continue to feel healthy for the long run.
A bit about yourself: Was chubby in year 8, started swimming squad, lost weight, wanted muscle, waited til I could use the schools gym (age 14), and started from there. Was quite consistent through the years, but improved tenfold by year 11/12 with a bit of rivalry between mates. Injured myself pretty much after I graduated, it was work related. Lost majority of strength on my left side (whole leg, back was out of alignment for ages.) and had to teach my left leg to walk again, sooo much fun!
Bitch and moaned and used it as an excuse, kind of was, for 2 years or so. Put on some weight, then slowly improved my food intake. Got orthotics for the feet which improved sooo much. Only got back to lifting about 5 weeks ago. I've lost 8-10kg's so far, whilst adding muscle, hence the uncertainty of my weight loss. My persona has improved A LOT, and eating properly is amazing. I've completely cut all alcoholic beverages out of my pleasures. Fitness is what I always loved, and will continue to for the long run. That was a bit, right?

A bit about yourself:
Began training at 18 - had absolutely no clue what to do. Then after years of bsing around it all just came together and my weight took off. This was around the year 2002 / 2003. Overbulked and became quite fat (over 90kg) in 2004-2005 and then started to trim it back. By 2007 my bodyweight was in the 80s but bodyfat was still high. By 2010 I was in the high 80s / low 90s. I settled into a routine. I stopped looking up information on nutrition, diet, exercise. By then I just knew what to do. Nothing much changed after that. Just kept going to the gym. Just kept training and feeling happy / satisfied with my progress.

Where do you train?: At home for now.
How long have you been lifting?: 3 days (Start date: Tuesday 3rd December 2013)
What are your short-term goals?: Put on weight - Train at least 3 times a day. Metabolism is through the roof. Get used to eating and eating and get into that routine as well as gym on my set dates to get used to it.
Long term goals?: No Idea. I'd like to get about 90 kgs. I have no body fat at all (Or very very little)
A bit about yourself: Started this gym thing because I've always been skinny. I will always put on muscle and abs when I do a weeks worth of hard labor. Then it will die off and back to skinny.
I noticed I gain muscle quickly and no fat at all so I'd like to use that as my advantage. BUT.. having a high metabolism will make it hard.
My plans so far is to work out 30 mins total a day, any more and it's a waste for my body type (So I've been told)
I'm working out Mon, Wed, Friday, and if i can saturday and sunday only a bit.
My routine at the moment is this:
20 seconds of heavy weight, as much as I can lift, pull, squat etc.
Followed by 10 second rest.
Then repeat 8 times.
Total is 4 minuets per set.
Trying to get into the habit of eating every 2 hours and munching on everything just to get into it.
I'd love any tips for skinny guy - shredded.
I LOVE ZYZZ.
P.S - Just to add, I'm using Mushashi Bulk Gainer for post workout.. Something along those lines.
