You guys are shit, I can't believe no one has mentioned ICE CUBE lol

He is gangsta to the bone, if he ain't releasing songs now it's only coz he would rather realease nothing than go soft like the rest to impress the mainstream masses lol

"keep it gangsta yo keep it gangsta!"
Hmm he's songs with westside connection were awesome..

Lupe fiasco and b.o.b best hip hop ull find none of that auto tune bs. They cany really put there music on radio cause it's the truth about what's really going on in this world. Rap is about lyrics not much beats.

Yeap, massive +1 to Lupe. I know he is a little more main stream than everything else out at the moment, but he is unreal. All 3 of his albums are amazing, can not find a song to skip past.

But yeah, back in the day I was a massive Nas fan. Have all of his albums, Illmatic through to Gods Son, awesome work.

And goes without saying people like Tupac, Biggie, Snoop, NWA, J5 etc can still listen to that stuff today and it's head and shoulders above autotune bullshit.

But yeah, i know what you mean with not wanting to release anymore.. Look at what Snoop as gotten himself into now. His "Whats My Name" self would kick his own arse if he saw him now. (Does that make sense lol?)

Yeah i have a lot of love for rappers who are articulate. Which is why i love Kayne as well as Lupe. Even though Kanye is a dick most of the time, you cant argue that he is good. I think both of those guys are lyrical geniuses..

Nah i stopped listening to hip hop for a while after Nas released Gods Son. Got into electro etc, but Lupe bought me back in with Food and Liquor, now im starting to listen to it a bit more.
