Just another weaksauce challenge to appeal to women who baulk at the idea of doing hard work to tone their arse, like reps of hill runs or flights of steps.
It's less effort than real training and all they have to do is complete the challenge to feel like they've accomplished something, rather than only feeling a sense of accomplishment after months of hard work, when the improvement in strength and tone is actually apparant.
It's no different to the instant gratification people get purely from finishing the City To Surf, no matter how pathetic their time is. Were they to train properly and compete in local races, they would only feel proud after a fair amount of training and their times have dropped to a respectable level.
Any challenge in which the goal is simply to 'complete the event' is setting the bar fairly low imo, but I'm a bit of an asshole in that sense.

I'll be polite in saying this - the challenge originally posted is by far one of the most retarded fads ever. 100-250 squats isn't overtraining, it's called a warm-up and break between sets of actually doing regular barbell squats/lunges/bulgarian squats..
Sure, it's great for beginners who've just bought their first gym membership, but utterly insulting to those who aren't your average couch sloth..

I did the first day today, starting numbers are for a 305 max:
200 x 8 x 3
215 x 5
230 x 2 x 2
Didnt feel tough at all, but I know it will get pretty rough pretty quick. I am planning to do just the intro microcycle though.
