i been reading up alot and also some of my study is in that field
my lecturer also said that you need the muscle to reapir itself foor 1-2 days then do it again

but my training is based on bulking up
i saw your training log and was surprised you do them everyday

however there are MANY approaches to bulking and might work differently from one person to another
so i'll try wat i am doing now and see if i can see results otherwise new plan :)

New goals for this year.

1. Get my back right. DONE
2. Be able to squat 180kg and deadlift 220kg again without pain. DONE
3. Bench 145kg+ 142.5kg done, 145 easy next time I test 1RM
4. Get specialised coaching for olympic lifts as soon as my back is right. DONE

New Goals for the next 12 months.
1. Lift safely so injury does not derail me again.
2. Beat Spiros' 215kg squat.
3. Clean & Jerk 140-150kg.
4. Snatch 100kg.
5. Bench 160kg and Deadlift 260kg

1. So far so good
2. Give me another 2 weeks and It will be done.
3. This is going to be a lot harder than I thought. 130kg might be more realistic
4. Hmm....... this is going on the back burner.
5. Bench is still at 145 and deadlift is still shitty. In the next 9 weeks I should make some real progress on these.

Goals this year are to stop being a lazy *milkshake*, eat right and pick up heavy shit. Would like to get down to PTC once before the years over to try out a kettlebell/fitness session too.

Tick, tick, tick and tick.

Lifting Goals for AD10

Goals: Bench Squat Deadlift Overhead Clean Total
110kg 175kg 210kg 95kg 110kg 700kg

So Far: Bench Squat Deadlift Overhead Clean Total
100kg 150kg 190kg 90kg 100kg 630kg

Havent tested my squat for a while, I think 165kg is possible. Need to keep eating clean and stay focused and I should make my goals.

Lifting at PTC seems to add 10% to my PBs, must be something in the water down there.

Can tick off Overhead, Clean, Deadlift done or exceeded with squat and bench def will hit at AD10. :D Will reset goals after AD10 but I think 800kg total for B@TB4 isnt out of reach. So keen for Jan!

New Goals for 2010

Weight

First one would have to be to continue by diet. Hoping to lose another 20kgs by April'ish.
This is priority!
17kg to go (27.01.2010)
09kg to go (15.03.2010)

Lifts

Short term i want to join the 200kg club for Deadlift. Unassisted. Last PB was 165kg. 180kg
By the end of the year 250kg would be amazing but might be a bit out of reach without some guidence.

Short term - Bench 100kg for 3x8. At the moment im DB pressing 45's On Monday i did 110kg 5x5!
By the end of the year i want to bench 1x130kg

Short term - Squat 20x100kg. Best i have done is 5x10 85kg 95kg 100kg 120kg
By end of year i want to squat 1x150kg

Short term - Military press 60kg 3x8. Currently 2x25 DB's 3x8
By the end of year i want to MP 2x35's for 3x8

Career
By June i want to apply and gain entry into SA Police.
Have wanted to do this since year 10 but was too lazy. Am motivated now :)

I'd like to be 90kg next jan, currently 82kg up from 69kg jan 09.

definately add some meat to my total (525) SQ130, B90, PC70, OH70 DL165, haven't done any 1RM's in months but i can't imagine there would be much change.

definately want a 200kg deadlift, yes i know 200kg is sooo 2008

that's the only lift i have a goal for, as long as i get heavier and lift heavier i'm happy.

I've nearly been training a year now just off info from this site got a good handle on most things.

still adamant to continue lifting at home, yet to set foot in a commercial gym or train with a partner.

For me its to gain functional size to carry over into sport (which is football for the first time in my life). It's a 2 year goal.

Short term:
- Get over my constant 3 month hurdles.
- Gain 1 kilo of muscle each month.
- Get my fitness, endurance and explosiveness up (definitely a lot better now!)
- By the end of December to have put on 10kgs lean.
- Improve Posture
- Keep my diet at 95% hit rate.

2 years
- Get into the high 80's lean plus; fitness, endurance and explosiveness to back it up.
- Improve Posture

So far (besides my back injury) i'm on the right track!

I'll play...

SQ: 190kg
BP: 100kg
DL: 210kg

giving a total of 500kg.

by end of year. If that means lifting on new year's eve, so be it. :P

ive got 6 months from now, to increase 25/17.5/35 respectively.

Well, I haven't been on this forum for quite a few years now..

Last time I was here, I was probably close to 90kg's.. In the time between, I ballooned up to 138kg's. Unfortunately, it was mostly made up of KFC.. Anyway, last November, I cracked it, and now I weight 114kg's. It's the lightest I've been in about 4 years..

So, my goal for the end of the year.. Get down to hopefully 90-95kg's while bulking up on muscle mass, but losing the ridiculous amount of fat I still have..

I ho, I ho, and off to gym I go...

My initial goal was to Bench my bodyweight, did that, then I went for 100kg I have achieved that now so I guess the revised goal is 120kg. I also have a challenge with a member on another forum to see who can bench 100kg for 10 reps first so I would hope I achieve that by the end of the year too. :shades:

Dead lift would like to hit 150kg by the end of the year only recently started doing them.

Squat at the moment I can only do what I can overhead press so no real goals until I get a rack and assess what I can lift.

gave up smoking 7 years ago gained weight slowly from then on

sux when you do something good for your self and you end up looking like shit for it

goal was to drop a few kg for my wedding in May so I dont feel embarrassed

while standing in front of everyone and ruin the photo's

missus got me to cut out normal coke now on the diet stuff

and have started watching what I eat

about 5 months ago last time I weighed myself before I was at 102kg

would have been more by the time I got sick of it

Im now at 92kg and have put on some muscle as well :)

Wii fit says ideal weight is 68kg or some crap :(

just been doing 30min cardio on exercise bike and some 3x8 rep session

with dumbbells and straight bar trying for everday but atleast 6 days a week

missus bought me a bench the other day :)

my plan was/is to do exercise that I can keep up doing long term i.e years

not go flat out for 6mths then stop again I'm probably older than most of you guys

at 32 so I just want to feel good and look health mass will come later if I change my outlook

sorry for the long post lol
