60*+ of steering lock, pretty much all custom made with portal hubs & custom knucles etc, pretty much the only off the shelf part is the 9" diff centre

not sure about the xfer case, although i wouldn't be surprised if it's not running an atlas transfer case as there is some serious money in that thing.

diffs are dobbin engineering built diffs, i'm guessing a currie hi pinion 9" centre, then custom C hubs/uni joints etc & a custom built portal hub (drop box) that runs inside the rim... check out the centre line of where the axles would be in the diff housing & then where the centre line of the wheel would be. essentially the portal hubs are another set of gears in a housing giving even more reduction while lifting the diff pumpkin further from the ground.

Went out today to some tracks called Goat Rd and Rocky rd. Goat Rd as the name suggests is very rocky, i got stuck on a rock step up on my damn side steps again, time for some sliders me think, and trying to get around the same spot nearly rolled the 60 series that was with us, doing a tight turn across a slope didnt stop when we told him and hit a rock with the front leaning it over big time, i believe a little wee came out.

Rocky rd was impossible, got like 10mtrs in with the pumpkins scraping the whole, and thats on 35's.

Got one pic of me beached from FB, will get some better ones up soon.

loveday was alright, a mate & his kid who came up were super keen on going & it was going to be a good test with the trailer on... so we hit it up on easter sunday, no great crowds & the bogan factor was low which was nice.

still not enough tracks IMO, we spent most of the day in the extreeeeme playground mainly in the rock garden & bomb holes. it's seen a heap of erosion since i was there last & it's made the whole lot more challenging.

did the adventure loop track late in the arvo which was ok in spots, needs more challenging sections though. i could spend the day in the playground on all the different obsticals

stayed out of the mud & bog holes & came home with zero repairs, trailer followed me everywhere like a champ... turns out the safety chains aren't long enough & get pulled tight when getting funky.

the 2 other Vitara's were only running a 2" lift with small AT tyres & were out driving a couple of blokes in a Navara & a Hilux... one spot the hilux driver proceeded to say you're going to need lockers for that to my mate, only to have him drive it unlocked with ease... think next time he'll have a heap more respect for the little zooks.

Any chance of detailing the route you took doing bordertrack/beachport run? or did you just do bordertrack then hit the hwy to beachport?

that beachport campsite looks like it was on the shore of lake george, in one of the designated camp sites in the beachport conservation park?
