  1. sr20 cast / ebay sumps

    Ive had a tight arse ebay one for a couple of years now with no problems. . I think i payed $70. I did drill out and helicoll the sump plug thread, also hand filed the sump plug mating surface to make it smooth and flat. A liberal dose of sealant to sump surface during install and I've never had a leak.

  3. I'll soon be building a v-band dump pipe. Anyone know of a good brand v-band flange and clamp kit? Or does everyone run with the e-bay specials?

    Yes, you can go a step colder at that boost. Plugs are Bkr7e
  6. Gasket should be .5 to 1mm bigger than poiston/bore size. Look at the blown gasket and see if you can work out where the leak occured. Is the fire ring marked?

  9. Removing camshafts

    Yes, Once the tensioner is removed you can either - Remove the bolts from the cam gears and take them out. Remove the cam caps and take the cams out with the gears still attached. If you have rocker arm stoppers fited you need to remove the whole cam and gear then separate them. There is a hex drive on the cam behind where the gears are fitted, it can't be gotten to while the stoppers are fitted (atleast on the stoppers I've come across).

    What size cc short injectors (33.6mm o-ring to o-ring) are best suited to running e85 and 300rwkw with some head room? Are the stainless body ones short?
  11. Removing camshafts

    Chain stays in while cams come out. Hook a bungee chord onto the chain (between cams) and connnect it one of the holes in the structural support on the underside of the bonnet. Then remove cam caps and then cams.

    No 7163 for me. . Or ve head, I'm still running the standard 6mt. I figure if it gets to the point where I'm going to do a head swap or change from the 6mt I'll sell the car, I'll buy another skyline. Thanks for the info The big fist, i just had a look at Sinco's site. I think I'll go down the 6758 and flex fuel route. What size bosch injectors are the stainless ones that don't clog up?
