  1. Toyota 86 - How does it stack up?

I test drove a GT on Saturday, Totally agree regarding the way the speedo gauge is angled DO NOT LIKE. I had a mid 20s Salesman and he actually said "do what ever you like it's your license", I did give it quite a bit of shit and thought the engine had to be revved hard to be enjoyed. Still i thought it was very adequate for everyday driving (maybe i was expecting too much?) Steering was precise and effortless very much a drivers car. Like the others guys have mentioned rear seating is pretty damn bad and not much of a boot but of course this car isn't going to be for the families out there. My boss has already ordered one and absolutely loves it. I think this car is good value for money in GT spec but I don't think it's worth the 3 month waiting period that i was informed after i test drove the car.
  2. The Android thread

What Roms you guy using at this point in time with your sgs2? I've been trying differnet ones for the last couple of days - CM9 is really buggy but wont be long till tis stable. (I just wanted to see wat ICS was all about.) CM7 felt very stable and quiet quick. Checkrom R4.0 - Probably the most stable and quickest by far, kitchenpro was awesome with changing modems and kernels. Are there anymore out there that im missing? A few have said MIUI? but havent really looked into it just yet. I've gone back to my stock 2.3.3 with telstra with cf root for now but if i don't see anything that takes my fancy will go back to checkrom. Also what app are you guys using for sms back up? I'm using SMS Back up and Restore but for some reason it is doubling all my SMS's. Are there any better ones out there? Or a fix for the doubling issue?
  3. Accident in Keith SA.

Double fatality near Keith The State road toll has risen to 95 following this morning's double fatal crash near Keith in the South East. At about 6.10am a Mercedes sedan travelling north west on the Dukes Highway, approximately 5km west of Keith left the road and collided with a tree. The driver, a 28-year-old man, and passenger, a 29-year-old man, both from Dallas (Victoria) died at the scene. Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash to contact BankSA Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.sa.crimestoppers.com.au The State's road toll at the same time last year was 104. Sorry to hear. As on the Adelaide Now site both have been confirmed from Victoria.
  4. Samsung..

Love Samsung TV's we've had 3 brand new ones in 10months. Just had a 59" D8000 Smart TV 2 weeks old and that shit itself. It's funny how the Service Manager from Samsung said take a store credit and buy a Panasonic VT30. They have had over 17 returns in one week of the D8000 in Adelaide alone, how bad is that? Samsung where good in my eyes but now they think they have the market and Quality control has dropped remarkably. Goodbye Samsung Hello Panasonic.
  5. BAtman Arkham city.

  6. RANT! about 3!

You will need to get in contact with the Telecomunication Ombudsman, pretty much state there service isn't to the standard that you need and they promised. We had almost the exact same problem but our bill was $578ish we stated the service wasn't to our standard and told 3 we will be making a complaint to the Ombudsman, lodged a complaint and 4 days later 3 rang me waiving the bill and also any early exit fees etc. You just have to be firm, Do not pay that bill.
  7. Galaxy S - from July 1st peoples

Running Darkys Rom 9.5 just got 101hours with 10% left on the battery, minimal use. 18hours so far with some decent usuage and on 70% getting good battery life since switching to Darkys, surprised you guys are having dramas.
  8. Galaxy S - from July 1st peoples

Have you tried rebooting the phone, then connecting to wireless and waiting it out, Do it via the Settings page not the drop down Notification Window, as i experienced similar things when i was on the early model of Darkys I rebooted tonight. I checked all security off on the router and the phone connected fine. I then applied WPA-PSK security but then the phone wouldn't have a bar of it. Hopefully there is a way of keeping my security on my router but yet letting the phone connect?
  9. Galaxy S - from July 1st peoples

So been fiddling around with the router settings. I completely turned off all security and now the phone is recognising the router, but it connects then turns off and does this back and fourth for about 20 secs then says disabled. Any other suggestions as to what is holding the net back and making it not connect completely?
  10. Galaxy S - from July 1st peoples

No nothing at all. It worked fine and connected all the time with 2.1 i think i started having problems when i updated to 2.2. Was kinda hoping the Darkys rom would kind have fixed things but hasn't done anything. The wifi picks up 3 neighbours but with mine doesn't even recognise it. I'm thinking it could be the router or something? But don't know what as it's connected before. Definetly would do some testing, Have you tested your phone Wifi with other peoples houses? Have you had friends come over and connect there phone to your wireless? Im currently running Darkys 10 RC4, No issues at all with WIFI, i did have some wireless issues but with the old roms.. where if i disconnected/reconnected/disconnected it would jam up and i had to go into the Settings of the Wireless and reconnect via there instead of the Notification Bar. I tested the wifi out today at work it was fine picked up straight away, no dramas. It's just not picking mine up at home. I will see when Dad comes over next if his desire can connect to my router. It's pretty annoying. Other than that Darkys Rom is amazingly quick it's like a new phone. Also battery life is crazy i use to charge every 2 days so far the battery has been unplugged for 50 hours and is on 49%.

Just upgraded to Darkys Rom 9.5 and it's pretty quick. Still can't get my wifi to connect to my home router. It will not recognise it at all, it picks up the neighbours though. Any ideas?
  13. internet dongle

If your getting inconsistant speeds then plug the ethernet cable into the Xbox. Wireless sucks half the time, It solved our problem at home.
  14. internet dongle

You can buy a Wireless Router for like $50 bucks with a USB slot in the back and stick the dongle in that. Then you have Wireless internet for your laptop and stick the ethernet cable from the Router into the Xbox?
  15. Galaxy S - from July 1st peoples

Just a quick question i had 2.1 loaded on my galaxy which was rooted then i upgraded to 2.2 via kies. Is there a problem doing this? Everything works fine but my brother was telling me it's better to unroot the phone before upgrading. Surely i can just re root with 2.2 and i shall be ok..?
