One thing I'd say is learn to at least read katakana. Shits not hard and its used to write foreign words (a lot of car related shit is written in katakana) so it makes understanding shit sooo much easier. Also Skye was right, if you're a fan of high end Toyota sedans (like me ) prepare to lose your shit, they're fkin EVERYWHERE lol.

    I'd have to agree with you sadly, I was expecting a bit more in the way of proper performance bits. Ditto the Up Garage in Koriyama, thought there'd be more cool stuff in there. The tough as fk 171 Majesta parked out the back was a bit of saving grace though Off to Ebisu tomorrow, see if I can get some footage/passenger laps/pay someone for a short steer of their car lol

    Don't worry bout 6 speed just get a 4.3 2way (or welded 4.3 r180 if you're poor like me ) and run a lower rolling diameter tyre. You have to run the car low to stop it looking silly but I've found 205/45/16s are a good compromise for me between low rolling diameter and still having some semblance of ground clearance

  15. Okay I'm after S13 interior shots where people have tried to make it a nice place to sit for daily driving. None of this stripped out bucket seat caged shit, none of this cheap vinyl/poorly painted plastic Autosalon shit - I want a look that could almost be considered 'classy' and 'nice'. I'm talking retrimming door trims/glove box (with nice material - not cheap white vinyl), changing the look of various plastic parts around the interior, dash mods etc. Things that have already been done with varying levels of success Bride door/glovvie trims Supermade/Bride floor mats deep bucket seat/stripped interior look dildo shifters/white or clear rimmed steering wheels EL dials/LED dash lights stereo and dash surround painted in base white/silver/body colour paints stick-on vinyl door/glovvie trims 'trendy brand' door trims (LV, Gucci etc) heaps of guages/accessories (AVCR, RSM, EBCs, turbo timers etc) littered around the cabin What I'm looking for are some ideas and suggestions either of things that haven't been tried yet, or things you've seen in someones S13 that have made it look more modern, more interesting to look at, more comfortable or just a nicer place to be. One thing that instantly comes to my mind was when that bloke custom fitted Camry cup holders where the S13 ashy is (in a similar style to the S15 cupholder setup). Started off looking a bit sketchy but with some ingenuity and clever skills he finished it off brilliantly and it really made the centre console area look more modern and functional.

    Lol my little old thread that could Funny thing is I've had a few S13s since I started this thread and they've all been stripped ghetto skidders lol. The interior in the one I've got now is about as far from 'nice' as you could get Doesn't help its all filthy as fk from skidding through a muddy puddle on the track with the windows open hahaha.

    I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed but there seems to be more and more cars, even normal ones, getting around with more aggressive wheel fitment these days. I must say I'm rather enjoying it lol.

    I'm rocking spectator in Nov paid for flights yestdy. Will have a hire car from narita if anyone is flying in thurs morning and doesn't wanna rock the train or bus up to ebisu. Also, I'll be annoying every bastard whose driving for passenger laps haha.

    You'll have to sort the hydraulic side of things too. you can either block the lines at the rear rack or take them out completely and loop the 2nd line out of the pump back into the resi. The former is easy but the latter can save you some weight and complexity, although its a fair bit more work.

  22. My old RB20 sil did the same thing, wot throttle for extended periods and engine would cut out for a moment. Didn't cut for ages but enough to make it fking annoying when your tryin to power out of a corner while drifting or busting a decent static lol Never found the cause so sorry I can't actually be of any help but you're not alone with this happening

    Anyone else thought about using fuel to get power? In the thread in the general section I've mentioned a little dream of my own involving e85 mix and using the extra octane to gain power. Upping compression/advancing timing both yield good power gains and with e85 (or even avgas ) you'd have scope to push both of those a bit further than normal 98 premium. The upshot is costs should end up a bit more reasonable, as machining down the head to gain compression wouldn't cost a whole lot if you disassembled it yourself, and increasing timing is free lol. If you then wanted to go further, cams/headwork/tuning will yield even further gains again.

Haha Everyone writes DEs off as being completely useless but mine is fking fun as and really makes you work for it, I love rockin skids on the track with the little CA that could haha. Not to mention a pair of 2nd handies lasts me 2 pracs and it uses about 20 litres of fuel a prac lol
