  2. Removing Window Overspray?

Cause I work for a f**king cheapskate wog who wont spend money on anything, they sometimes re-spray Dozer and Loader Buckets, panels at work in the " Wash Bay" but the front is just fully open and no extractor fans or anything and the paint just drifts wayyyy over to where the cars are parked!. Hell we have Filipino guys at work who constantly spray 2 Pac and Single pack and wear just ordinary Dust Masks!( Im not Joking!!) the boss and Foreman just let them do it. I had to paint some Doors last week with 2 Pac and refused to do it until they let me go get pick a proper Respirator and Filters, but yeh I will need a Car Cover soon,My paint is stuffed now and needs a repaint( the sun has killed it!) my 180 is Black so it shows up all the yellow paint that drifts about!. I really should look at moving onto another workplace but I personally have it pretty good and just drive a Fuel Truck about refueling all the machines at the Quarries on a reasonable payrate, its the only reason im still there. But yeh they are VERY dodgey i can relate to this, i have to park my car in front of a panel shop everyday. normally after about 4 months there is a nice coat of overspray over the whole thing, and we use a proper booth/filters but priming is done in the open workshop. i normally clay bay my whole car and hand polish it every 4-6 months, but still its a pain in the ass and takes ages cos the overspray literally gets on everything!! i used to paint trucks/machinery/equipment out at wingfield and my old skyline used to get hammered with overspray!! we used a lot of air-dry enamel out there too and that stuff is the worst to remove
  3. spotted a black Lexus LF-A on currie st yesterday arvo, looked so awesome in the flesh!! also followed a very nice black S2000, along sir don bradman 2 nights in a row
  4. Removing Window Overspray?

Clay bar works good for finer overspray and razor blade for chunkier overspray. I stopped using the steel wool method cos I found it was scratching the glass on my old car.
  5. yep i ended up with the pioneer, got it for $700. I'm pretty happy with it, does everything i need and more! cheers for feedback guys
  6. Guard flaring/pumping

  7. yeah, normally i would go with alpine for sure. i went with the pioneer unit though. after having a play around with them both, the pioneer was nicer to use and had a better touchscreen
  8. Flickfessions

a couple of drug/crime related films that i would recommend Narc (2002) http://en.wikipedia....wiki/Narc_(film) Narc is a 2002 crime film about corrupt police involved in the illegal drug trade. It was released to critical acclaim and moderate commercial success. It was written and directed by Joe Carnahan. The plot revolves around the efforts of two police detectives as they search for the murderer of an undercover police officer. As they proceed in the investigation they engage in suspect tactics and give viewers a glimpse into the seedy side of undercover work. Just watched this the other day, intense storyline that keeps you guessing right until the end. a much different role by Ray Liotta but played very well. 9/10 Traffic (2000) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_(2000_film) Traffic is a 2000 American crime drama film directed by Stephen Soderbergh and written by Stephen Gaghan. It explores the illegal drug trade from a number of perspectives: a user, an enforcer, a politician and a trafficker. Their stories are edited together throughout the film, although some of the characters do not meet each other. i watched this awhile back, also a very good film. 9/10
  9. i would like to upgrade to a 2 din unit in my S15 Ive been looking around for awhile and have narrowed it down to either the Pioneer AVH-P4450BT or Alpine IVA-W520EBT http://www.tonkins.com.au/2012/03/pioneer-avhp4450bt/ http://www.tonkins.com.au/2012/02/alpine-ivaw520ebt/ the alpine seems to have a few more features, but the pioneer has a better touchscreen any suggestions? thanks Sam
  10. Spraying s15 console

raw plastic needs an adhesion promoter/primer, but painted plastic only need sanding. not sure on weather to go with the original silver or something slightly different?? what have other people done?
  11. Spraying s15 console

I want to spray mine when I get the time, I was planning on wet sanding with p800, matching up the colour in automotive paint, then using a low gloss clear coat (hopefully so it's durable enough not to scratch up again)
  12. Findon crash repairs, I work there. We do quality work and the prices are resonable
  13. nice 180 Mitch! i swear i saw this (or one just like it) cruising along south road awhile back?
  14. imo just stick with the s15 seats
  15. i would highly recommend bridgestone at kidman park on grange road. my work get all their alignments done by them. i got tyres and an alignment done today on my car. great people to deal with and good prices too. they are into their drift as well!
