  1. My predicament. I love my car, and here she is: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=565026202 but a few months ago i wanted to sell her. now im back in uni, shes all fixed up and looking great and the reasons i had to change cars aren't so radical now (i was getting tired of the lack of space and shifting gears in dense traffic etc) Anyway. My question is.. In general, are s14s worth holding on to (as an investment) or is now a good time to sell em? Mine is in awesome condition as you'll see in the photos. I have a good offer on hold. What will a great condition s14 be worth in 5.. 10.. 20 years?
  2. there was once. its now gone. a few years ago, me and my flatmate took them out, and then bent them forcefully for more spring, that worked, but from then til now its lost springeyness. i have no idea how we did it looking in though. not easy to get it out..
  3. The bootlid on my s14 does not stay up. It always just falls back down. There is a spring but it seems to have gotten weaker over time. What can I do to fix this? Managed to get this photo.. Maybe your spring is fitted differently? ahh no more headaches reaching for groceries please.. free image hosting
  4. headunit? wiring? arial? the headunit is a sonashi dvd player. AM works fine, FM jumps in and out of reception. can work for up to 3 seconds before it makes a crackle noises (as if a loose wire) and then faint distortion / faint reception. then repeats. its plugged into the arial and isnt loose. is it most likely a bung headunit? i would hate to buy a headunit, install it, and have the same issue thanks all
  5. How to make a plug for the Fusion EN-AT1100. Fusion tunnel / tube powered sub. what you need: old computer / computer power supply. crimper terminals of your choice. I like the bullet ones. sharp knife cut the wires to free and remove - from busted computer. for the + REM - plug, cut 3 in from the right. for the high input plug, cut 2 in from the left. use your eyes to make sure theyre the right shape etc. now you have this hopefully now add the terminals. same with the high imput. plug em in to test put it in your boot, connect the male bullets to the wires from your speaker amp / headunit and your finished.. not a bad sub for a spacesaver. add electrical tape tightly around the terminals so its secure. I havent included a pic of this. Hope this helps someone. my issue seemed to be floating around the net so hopefully they find this thread.
  6. i didnt know where else to turn, so i came here.. i want a van, i love the look of this but "car drives fine but the initial pick is not good.sometimes makes a noise between 0-20 k.m. then its fine." heres the ad: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=369737715 how much would u max at? what do u think wrongs with it? cheers for opins!
  7. i have a 7" hole in the dash of my car, passenger side. right now is a rugged screen filling the hole with tape around the edges. its rca out connects to the dvd head unit etc. but i need to find a prettier screen, just a screen! to fill the hole, with plastic trim so it will slide in and look good. i cant seem to find this product. all i can find is gps / dvd players etc. i just need a screen! where do i look!? thanks
  8. here are the quotes if anyones still interested.. not as bad as i thought.. 1610 inc gst = about $1300 AUD 1558 inc gst 1425 exc gst 1000 exc gst $650 ? gst. = run by asians. = about $500 AUD
  9. that seems like a price for a job never to be repeated :\ it will be interesting to fix some prices up comparatively from what ive heard on this thread. if your job cost $1500 with that damage at those rates mine should cost a fraction of that.. $400 lets say i will have prices on monday.
