  1. New Classifieds

This is retarded, you can actually buy from NS and get things posted and be fairly confident they'll turn up, it's not the same on boost, heaps of scammers and time wasters. It's going to be all about the swaps for fishtanks and vl bonnets. Since the part forum has been back i've sold 10+ things from the forum, when there was the eBay style listings I sold nothing over 2 months from here. (same items) The parts forum actually works, comes down to the old saying: if it isnt broken don't fix it If I wanted to view boost classifieds guess what, i'd go to boost!

  3. S14 SR Box troubles

Get the bellhousing cut and shut with an auto SR bellhousing. Cheaper than the adapter plates and if done correctly its a much better option. You also retain your SR clutch/starter etc. Cut and shuts are usually around the $600 mark and you will need a custom tailshaft and rb25 slave cylinder & gearbox cross member. Get the shifter dog legged so it sits in the correct spot ($30) and you're good to go. Easy/better option than these adapter kits especially considering some of them are well over $1000. My brother put one in his car and the total was a tad over $2k including everything and he paid a bit extra than he needed to for the box.
  4. Pretty simple dude, Disconnect battery. Undo the lead that goes to the starter Put car on stands Undo the two bolts holding it on from underneath Pull it out Takes me 15mins but i've had a bit of practice Unsure on which starter motors are the same but i dont think ca/sr would be the same.
  5. Kaaz 2 Way

Yeah i wont be running anything synthetic in it as the Kaaz website says specifically not to do that. I've been told that using Kaaz oil will keep it quieter than any other oil also, it just seems rather expensive and not as readily available which is why i was after other suggestions.
  6. Hey guys, Picked up a Kaaz 2 way the other day and have been doing a bit of reading, some people say you need to use the Kaaz specific oil (~$100) but others are using castrol oil that has the same specifications. The car is a street car that will be seeing a fair bit of track time (drift) so i'd like to make the diff last. I believe the Kaaz oil is GL-5/80W-90 Just after opionions/experiences/advice on which oil to put in Thanks in advance
  7. You are twisting the tie rod not the tie rod end right? i.e crack the nut closest to the inside of the car (on the rod end) and twist the rod, the blue section doesn't need to move. It seems like you are trying to adjust it with the tie rod end rather than the tie rod itself.
  8. fuel pump dont work

Hey bud, I fried my loom and the fuel pump wouldn't prime after i changed the loom, i looked closely at the ECU and when i looked at the pins the plastic around it was melted so i had fried the ECU as well. I replaced the loom and ecu and it fired up straight away, make sure you get the same ECU & loom, i.e redtop ecu and loom or blacktop(non vct) loom and ecu, otherwise you will need to change the pins to make it work correctly.

Hey James, the thread on my sump for the plug stripped out, i used a bloke called Mobile Threadfix - 0409584022. He came out to my house the next day and fixed it for me, and i live a minute up the road from you
  10. You need to get in mod plated as a 2 seater and ring Queensland Transport and tell them to change it to a 2 seater, they will send you out a new rego sticker and update the car info on their system.
  11. So that means if you did test them back to back with TOMEI/HKS etc and the TOMEI/HKS cams were better you wouldn't share the results and just pretend the test never happened? This thread is useless without specs
  12. SR..iv noticed you are in melbourne mate. i know you offer f ull engine rebuilds etc...but do you also offer Cams installation and FMIC installation etc? do you think you could PM me some prices... Cheers MAte why wouldnt you just PM him asking him that?

  14. I just put penrite 10w40 in it, out at the track it had whatever the previous owner had put in it
  15. Thanks for the reply guys i understand what you guys are saying about 'investing in baffles' however theres a bunch of guys out there with standard sumps that dont have this issue and i never had this issue in my last SR powered 180 will running a thicker oil help at all? chris2712au - its not a stock sump as mentioned in the original post
