  1. Hi all, More details were requested, so I'll add what I can. Engine Issue Engine issues first began a whil ago, car began stuttering (losing power) at WOT on full boost. I took it to the mechanic and he said it is likely the fuel pump dying - this was replaced and all seemed well. Then later at a DECA event I attended the same issue happend again, some of the guys with more knowledge than I looked at it and said it wasn't idling well. I personally couldn't tell a difference. The idle apparently returned to normal once the car cooled down. Since that DECA event (over a year ago) I haven't driven it too much, just a occasionally on weekends. I took out a few weeks ago and began blowing a heap of white smoke - haven't started it up since. Oil has also blown out of the dip stick pipe before on boost, but I'm told this is somewhat normal for SR20s. Previous Ad This is the ad from the previous owner when I bought the car (roughly 3 years ago). The car had done 140,000km (at least that's what the odo claims) and has done less than 4000km since I've owned it - it was never daily driven. The car has always been stored in weather proof garage under a car cover. I have my 94 Sil80 up for sale due to lack of car space at my new property. I actually had a daily car, so this was only driven once every 1-2 weeks but it is not a track / drift car. The car has never been defected in Victoria & is currently registered, however, I will not be assisting the buyer in getting a Road Worthy Cerificate... I can recommend a place though. Straight chassis / body. No rust. Fresh midnight purple respray performed by DT Panels approximately 1.5 years ago. Compression test performed, all fluids flushed / replaced & all leaking engine/gear box seals replaced approx 1.5 years ago. Brand new GT2871 (stock mount) & Nistune fitted / tuned by Revzone approximately 1 year ago - 215 kw atw. Fuel pump & injectors upgraded to match. Bit of a rough rider due to suspension & diff (it is VERY loud at low speed), but no problems with the car... just drive & enjoy. Had the air con re-gas-ed today (6-3-13) and it's pumping ice cold. Other mods: - 6 pot floating disc front brakes (T limit - bought new & fitted by Revzone approx 1.5 years ago) - stock brakes available - Cusco Type MZ 1.5 way rear diff (bought new approx 2 years ago) - stock diff available - Nismo engine mounts (approx 1.5 years old) - All suspension components checked by Pedders, some bushings were replaced approx 1.5 years ago - Pedders adjustable front & rear sway bars - 5*114.3 stud conversion - 17*9" Koya Drift Teks with flush off set (+16)... there's also a fifth wheel as a spare - Tein monoflex coil overs (came with car when I bought approx 3 yrs ago) - Front mount intercooler - Short ram air intake - Full 3" exhaust with Xforce muffler - not loud - Button clutch - unsure of the brand... still bites very well. - Pioneer DVD head unit w/ iPod connectivity. Sony front splits & 6*9s in the rear - Apexi turbo timer with A/F sensor installed - Drift boost gauge - Surely some other minor modifications are not listed here... Additional Mods Since then I've also made a few minor mods of my own: Oil cooler HKS SSQV BoV Rocker Arm Stoppers Velo racing wheel Walbro Fuel pump replaced Exedy Button clutch replaced Switched from Nistune to PowerFC (as my mechanic could not tune the Nistune) - hell I still have the old Nistune, take it. There may be more, I can't honestly remember. Let me know if you would like any specific photos. Thanks.
  2. Price dropped to $5.3k as the rego is about to expire.
  3. Cheers. If i had the tools and the knowledge I'd do it myself.
  4. I did one when i first bought it 2 years ago - engine was okay, but not great. Fairly standard for its age. I haven't had anyone look at it since the smoke began - it might be nothing major (i doubt it). I just don't want to spend more money on the car.
  5. SOLD Hi all, I have a 1994 Nissan 180sx which I believe the head gasket has gone on - the engine had been unhappy for sometime and recently it started blowing a ton of white smoke. I haven't driven it since. It has been quite heavily modifed by the previous owner and apart from the recent engine troubles never gave me any problems. The list of mods: Standard unopened SR20 black top GT2871R Supporting mods for the above (fuel rail, Power FC, intercooler, etc) 6 pot T-Limit front brakes 1.5 way Cusco diff Tein coilovers Silvia front end conversiojn Custom midnight purple paint Custom glass head lights and custom tail lights 17" Drifteks with 595RSR (good amount of tread left) Pretty standard interior Bunch of other minor mods, e.g. oil cooler, BoV, etc Car is registered until 2/7/16 It was making 220rwkw on a very safe tune - should make 250-260rwkw if tuned for power. Reason for sale is I rarely drove it and CBF getting it fixed. I'm only asking $6,000 which is bargain given you can easily turn a profit parting this out or simply drop a new motor and enjoy (I'd recommend an RB25!). I also have all the stock pieces for the above modifications (except stock rims) which will be included. Car is located in Mt Eliza, Victoria. Thanks, Kieran
  6. unfortunately not, other wise i would drive a 1000hp GTR on my p's and when i get pulled over "guy at vicorads said i could on the phone". i am 100% sure that u are on the new laws when u get ur license back IF your license was cancelled, which going on the basis that u have to start ur p's again, it has. I dunno. The chick I was speaking to actually put me on hold twice, each time for quite a long time to go find this out. She said I was on "P2" P's, which means I'm on the old system before the red plates, and because I passed by test before July 2007 meant that I could legally drive turbo charged cars. P2 license is the new system mate. u spoke to 1 chick. ive called up 6 times and 2 of them spoke to the supervisor on duty. and all of those people said the same thing. i would definately be calling again before u start looking at new cars. up to u. Yeah, I certainly will. Appreciate the advice.

  8. I dunno. Guess I'll be making a few more calls. The worst that could happen is you'll lose 3 points for driving a high powered car, and be forced to sell it.
  9. I literally rang Vicroads this morning and spoke to someone directly about it. I've also had a mate tell me the same thing. Do us a favor, call them up yourself and ask too. If you get the same answer then we're probably pretty safe.
  10. I had it set on that because I was unaware I could drive turbo charged cars. I'd take an S15 any day over an NA Supra, but it's a little out of my price range. S14 seem like pretty good bang for your buck, and I love the SR. Unsure about the S13. I like the car, but it may be a little too dated. Edit: As for the R31, I know that car would get me in trouble again. I'm leaning somewhat towards the GTO for the simple fact its AWD and less tempting to do dumb shit in. As for my P's being reset. I think it's because my license was canceled, not suspended.
  11. Long story short: I got my license before July 2007. I lost my license for 6 months (3 months before I was due to come off them). Now I have to reset my P's drive around with them for 3 years. The good news is I just spoke to VicRoads, they say I don't need to have red P plates, AND because I got my license originally before July 2007, I can legally drive turbo charged cars under the 125kw per ton ratio. So, here's where the flaming comes in. Is there a list anywhere of turbo charged cars that are under the 125kw per ton ratio? I did search, and went through nearly two dozen threads, but couldn't come up with anything. In fact, the only posts I found were "THIS HAS BEEN ASKED 1000x BEFORE, DO A SEARCH". From what I found through wiki and such, the following cars are cool: S13 CA18DET R32 GT4 Late model R32 GTST's S14 S15 Mitsubishi GTO Early 90's Galant R31s VL's Can anyone confirm if any of these cars are NOT on the list? Or list any other cars that I might have missed? I had my heart set on an NA Supra, but after finding out about this I just want to see what my options are. Thanks.
  12. Say what you will but they're as valuable as someone is willing to pay for them. I've already had several offers from forum members on Skylinesaustralia.com, and a trade-in offer at a dealership but I'm looking around to see others are willing to offer. Obviously the economic crisis is also playing a part, as custom plates are unlikely going to be a priority during such a time, but I have no issue holding onto the plates for myself, a friend or simply till conditions improve.
  13. Hey guys, Probably not the best place for this, but there's no place for general car parts, only parts for brands, and since it's only useful in Victoria I figure why not. They are quite valuable plates, but since I'm saving for a Supra I'd be willing to let them go for a decent price. PM your best offer. Thanks.
