  1. I couldn't find the specs at the time, but you're probably right. Mine was incorrectly setup one tooth out, and it was a dog.
  2. Check your timing marks again. Easy to get it one tooth off. As far as I can remember, DE and DET exhaust cams are very similar in spec. Same lift and duration, but initial timing is only different by about 5deg, which would be hardly noticable. Check your timing marks again. Easy to get it one tooth off. 3. 180sx stock VLSD for drifting?

Shim it up. Should be heaps of info out there on them. Some guys will shim them up to the point of being a locker, but I believe there's a way to figure out how much to shim one, to make them a little more friendly on the street.
  4. WOW - What happened?

Lol at MCM. Most of their build threads are just people showing off their latest fingerpainting.
  5. Help fix ns.com.com from death!

I think the damage has been done. Everyone left for other forums, or Facebook etc.
  6. Also check that the faces of the flanges are dead flat. If they're warped, it'll only be a matter of time before another gasket blows out. +1 for OEM gaskets, too.
  7. Cam caps

You'd be better off starting with a head that hasn't been f**ked with. That's the trouble with cars these days; plenty of info out there on how to do something, but not how to do it properly.
  8. E85 question + another thing

The gunk is the E85 loosening up all the garbage that's in your tank, and running it through your pump, filter, and injectors. My suggestion is change your fuel filter much more frequently, and clean out the teabag that hangs off the bottom of the pump.
  9. You're not looking hard enough.
  10. Turbo Timer

Turbo timer? Have I stepped back into 1998?
  11. S14 steering rack boots

Should be able to stretch the stock boots over them with a bit of help from some silicone spray.
  12. Engine part brands

    Red speckle paint.
  13. Engine part brands

Yes, definitely buy the Tomei rocket arms.
  14. High octane fuel

Can't you just drain the shit fuel out, change the filter, and put some 98 back in it? If there's shit in the tank, a higher octane fuel won't fix it.
