  1. HAGGIS - pics of new rims and bonnet!

Car's sounding pretty sweet...it looks like hard work to get any love on here from anyone else at times though, but I'm pumped for your build. You just need to get some more pics up so I can check out the latest additions. Sh#t-yeah for Chrissy money from ma & pa too...it's the best kind of love a parent can give! Keep up the good work.
  2. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Rad, that sounds good. I'm always glad to hear someones opinion if they know what they're talking about. I was actually browsing your build thread earlier today, your car's sounding good but need to get some more pics up so we can check it out. Glad to hear I've been able to give you a little bit of inspiration too. Cheers
  3. My first airbrush

Nice Work...looks like you've got some natural skills. What sort of airbrush did you buy and what sort of compressor are you running? Not that you're asking for advice, but the best advice I can give is to run a compressor with a large air storage capacity and not desktop pump that is constantly chugging. You will notice with small ones that the flow of paint from your airbrush will "pulse" as the compressor pumps, but you don't get that when the air flows at a constant pressure from a big compressed air cylinder. Hope you don't mind but here's a pic of a few self-portraits I did for an exhibition a little while back...sorry about the poor quality photo though. If you want to check out some mad skills, check out Mike Lavallee...he looks like a full nerd but he does stuff for West Coast Choppers and heaps of other custom bike & car builders and invented "true flames" (the ones that look like realistic fire) Siiiccckkk! Anyway, keep up the goods and post any other works as you do them.
  4. MAD Automotive Demo/Track car

Loving the pod filter adapter...it's in keeping with the bodywork on my car! Cars lookin tough as though champ.
  5. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Cheers bud. Yeah it's clean and straight as. Had a baremetal respray in 2-pak inside and out. I just found out my missus got me a set of Tunnel-rams for Christmas, so when I get a chance it should have a dirty big hole in the bonnet, with them and a polished alloy Bug-catcher scoop hanging out of it. It's gunna be tough as!
  6. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Thanks, it was next on the list to finish...it was going due to strip it back and hide all of the wiring and get a full respray, but now that I got the S13 it takes priority because the chopper pulls off the "Rat" look but the Silvia doesn't LOL.
  7. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Cheers for all the other comments and compliments too. Makes me even more pumped! I just had a run in with a mate (who will only drive Commodores) who gave me a mouthful about driving a girls car, and that $4.2K was too much to pay for "one of those cars" because I will never make my money back due to the "limited Market" of people who are going to want to buy one. Mind you, he also thought they were front wheel drive, so I told him to F*@k off because he has no idea what he's talking about LOL...bloody small town people!
  8. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Thanks mate, Yeah got a set of original windscreen wipers back on now... looks way better. As for the bumper, it's amazing what you can do with some screws, 3mm MDF and some black Duct-Tape LOL. Still ugly when you get any closer than 20 meters, but way better than a gaping hole! It was asking for the cops to pull me over for a closer look. The new Vertex kit is gunna be sick when I get around to putting it on though MMMM! Funny you should say about the aerial too. As a newbie, I thought that's how they were until I looked inside a couple of days ago and found it was an electric aerial that had been bend and disconeccted. I got a Maxima/300ZX replacement "Mast & Rope" from Autobarn for $20 and put it in yesterday so now it goes all the way up and down as it should. 9. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Cheers mate. I know it's nothing special but I'm glad I at least got one comment. I must scared everyone off with the first few photos lol.
  10. My "I'm-not-worthy" S13

Only a new member to NS.com but I notice that most of the cars on here are pimp as with plenty of Horse-power...so I thought I'd better even it out by showing everyone my car since it's a bit of a pig LOL This is actually my first Import, and I picked it up for well under $5K off a mate. It passed roadworthy and runs well so I'm stoked, but it needs a bit of of work so before I tell you my plans for it I will show you my resume/collection so y'all don't freak thinking it's going to end up like a dog when I'm finished. I rebuilt, panelbeat, Sprayed, customized and still own the following: This is the first car in my collection, '64 EH Holden with a 283 V8 Chev in it. It's worked and was built for dragging so I cranks, but has since been stereo'd up etc. (needs big rims though) The second in my collection (also my last project) is my '76 HX Holden Panelvan. It's got a 308 / 5ltr V8, looks stock as a rock, but just to keep the police off my scent, as it goes hard too. The third vehicle in my collection is my rat-rodded chopper that I built from a '78 XS Yamaha. Anyway this is what you would prefer to see...it's actually my first post-1980's car I've owned, and I got it all of 2-3 weeks ago. She's a bit of an old banger at the minute, it's 5spd manual, LSD, a 93 or 94 Blacktop SR20det (engines pretty stock as far as I know, as is most of the rest of the car), just has a 3" cat-back, some 17" rims and the messed up body kit at the mo. Have to hate that stock suspension in these shots!! As someone said in my "New Members Post", I wouldn't be getting defected for ride height LOL The paints pretty rough and the body kit as well, but since I love pimping my rides it won't stay like it for long. If look at the front bumper you will notice the temporary fix-up job to pass roadworthy (above)...absolutely terrible, but I have a full New Vertex Bodykit on its way, I put in some lowered springs (installed in the photo below...probably get some coilovers at a later date) and I also got a set of original wipers (not in these photos) & a pod filter. This is it at the Minute This is a quick Photoshop job for some of the plans. I'm not after massive power, just a nice and tidy everyday driver so my future plans are: - Vertex bodykit fitted & Dmax rear spoiler, maybe some Gandor/Aero style Mirrors - Full bare-metal respray in Rosso Corsa Red (Crisp bright Ferrari red. Shouldn't draw any attention from the police LOL) - FMIC - Z32 AFM - 740cc Injectors - GT28RS Turbo - Boost Controller - 040 Fuel Pump Aiming for around 200rwkw...so hopefully that should get me close after a tune. Let me know if any of the above sounds ridiculous, because as I said, this is my first import...and turbo. Anyway all of the above should tie me over for a while, but I will keep you updated along the way if anyone is interested. Cheers.
  11. Another Carsales / Ebay Scam.

HAHA The S15 for $11.5K with an owner from Illowa! It's not far from where I live and no one from there would be driving anything like that...it must be a Scam LOL.
  12. 1st time Victorian Import owner...

Yeah there's plenty of fun to come. I've been loving the tech help and the forums...already helped me diagnose a few electrical issues. I definitely had no troubles passing the RWC because of ride height LOL, but it already looks heaps better a few inches lower in the last shot.
  13. Alright I'm finally getting around to doing this intro so here goes. I'm into most stuff with a bit of style that goes hard and I've been into cars ever since I can remember... but mostly old school stuff, namely old Holdens with V8s (no hating on me for it because i still love them, so I've attached a few photos for anyone that could be interested). This is the first car in my collection, '64 EH Holden with a 283 V8 Chev in it. It's worked and was built for dragging but has since been stereo'd up etc. (needs big rims though) The second in my collection (also my last project) is my '76 HX Holden Panelvan. It's got a 308 / 5ltr V8, and was also bare-metal resprayed, upholstered and customized by myself. Looks stock as a rock, but just to keep the police off my scent, as it goes hard. The third vehicle in my collection is my rat-rodded chopper that I built from a '78 XS Yamaha. Anyway, I've been keen on getting something else for quiet some time. I've got mates who are into driftin in North NSW and after hanging with them for so long their influence rubbed off on me. To cut a long story short I bought a S13 Silvia after moving to Victoria, which is actually my first post-1980's car I've owned, this was all of 2-3 weeks ago. As the minute, nearly everything I know about cars is different when it comes to imports so go easy on me if I sound like a Di#k when I try and describe my car lol. She's a bit of an old banger at the minute, it's got a 5spd manual, a 93 or 94 Blacktop SR20det (engines pretty stock as far as I know, as is most of the rest of the car), just has a 3" cat-back, some 17" rims and the messed up body kit. Have to hate that stock suspension!! Looks like it's got a 4x4 lift kit or something in it LOL The paints pretty rough and the body kit as well, but since I love pimping my rides it won't stay like it for long. If look at the front bumper you will notice the temporary fix-up job to pass roadworthy (above)...absolutely terrible, but I have a full New Vertex Bodykit on its way, I put in some lowered springs (below...can't afford coilovers until I finish building a bigger shed to house all of this stuff) and I also got a set of original wipers (not in these photos) & a pod filter. Future plans once the shed is up is bodykit on, find a Dmax rear spoiler, a full respray, FMIC, Z32 AFM, Injectors & Turbo and then probably on and on LOL. Anyway, I hope someone finds all of this interesting because I've been loving NS.com and found heaps of helpful stuff so far, so cheers.
  14. 180sx air con problem!

PMOD you are off-the-hook dude! Very helpful, I was having issues and ran the diagnosis...ends up I didn't even have a in-cabin temp sensor LOL. Any wonder it was reading -30deg and trying to heat me up. Also note as an quickfix, if it's blasting you with hot air, hit the recirculate button, or run your climate control in diagnostic mode until you get it fixed and it wont be as hot. Cheers everyone.
  15. 2000hp production car

Yeah hefty super-car price tags. Reminds me of a song by "Porno for Pyros" that says: "all the guys that really have the money...are too old to have a good time with it!!" I need to get a new job so I can be one of those old guys that everyone complains about LOL...still wouldn't buy that though!
