  1. Local PARTS for sale

Hey Guys Due to unforseen circumstances need to get rid of this. Bills bills bills. This is Biggies old Gearbox, and consists of the gearbox, adapter plate, and an alphaomega shifter I had a brand new 1 piece tail shaft made up to suit S13's. This is currently in my 180sx. Gearbox feels good, shifts are solid. 4th gear can be hit and miss, but as long you dont let the revs drop, its perfect. Biggie had no problems with it, and I used redline shockproof as he mentioned, and the shifts are perfect. The shifter comes out through the factory hole in my 180sx, and doesn't hit the trim, and nothing needed to be cut. It feels great. I'm looking for $3000 for it.
  2. Hey Guys Due to unforseen circumstances need to get rid of this. Bills bills bills. This is Biggies old Gearbox, and consists of the gearbox, adapter plate, and an Alpha Omega short shifter. I believe its an Engineered to slide adapter plate. I had a brand new 1 piece tail shaft made up to suit S13's. This is currently in my 180sx. Gearbox feels good, shifts are solid. 4th gear can be hit and miss, but as long you dont let the revs drop, its perfect. The shifter comes out through the factory hole in my 180sx, and doesn't hit the trim, and nothing needed to be cut. You can put the factory boot on, and its like factory, just a bit firther back and to the left, but doesn't hit the trim or anything. It feels great. I'm looking for $3200 for it. The car is in Canberra at the moment, with the gearbox in it. Can deliver to Sydney. PM me, or email me on saadme (at) gmail dot com, or call me on O433 8 nine nine 839. Cheers
  3. I was more talking about the pedal feel of the BM57 etc. Will rebuild my one and report back!
  4. Yep it was bench bled before install. So the pedal basically goes all the way down before braking. Master cyclinder shot? It was secondhand, and wasn't installed for about a year after purchase, so could the seals have dried up? Worth getting a HFM BM57?
  5. Hey Guys My car runs R32 GTS-T brakes front and rear, and was running thr BM44 BMC - I assume it was the stock 180sx one. I did an upgrade on the brakes recently, braided lines, new pads and rotors, and found a Z32 BM50 NON-ABS on eBay, hoping to firm up the brake pedal. However, now, the brake pedal is actually worse, its a lot softer, and the first 80% of travel there is almost no braking force, then the last 20-25% or so, you have all the force. Not a fan at all, would really prefer a stiff brake pedal like in modern cars. I though changing to a BM50 would make it stiffer! Z32 and R32 brakes are basically the same, and the proportioning is the same too, so dont think it could be that. Any thoghts? And yep, they've been bled.
  6. Hey Guys I was originally planning to use Haltech Platinum Pro for my 180sx, but I've come across Adaptronic recently, and their ECU is a lot cheaper than the Haltech, and I can use the e-flex sensor with it without having to buy the expansion box. I'm not running E85 atm, but something I'm looking at in the future. Additionally, the Race Technologies Dash2 works with the Adaptronic right out of the box, and IMO is a lot nicer than the Haltech IQ3: Has anyone used Adaptronic? My only problem with them is that they dont have a phone number and don't want you to call them, whereas with Haltech you can call them and they will help you straight away. Cheers
  7. Chassis straightening

    What you mean overkill?
  8. Hey Guys Got some S15 front wheel bearing assemblies to install ony my gktech knuckles that I ordered with S15 spindles. Since I don't have an S15, I need the nut and the dust cover to secure the hub onto the knuckle. Can someone help me out with the part numbers/where to buy? Cheers
  9. Chassis straightening

Yep bump from, me, any recommendations? Mine is out by about 15mm on one side, only noticed when I got new wheels, and tried to get a wheel alignment! How about DIY? using a chain and a tree?
  10. Dfferent as in thr S13 speedo wont read it, or different as in out of whack and can be fixed through convertor?
  11. Ah thought S15 diff wasn't an R200 - as I remember, they dont straight bolt into an S13/180SX do they cos the rear housing is different to the S13 ones? So the ABS sensor in a 180sx with ABS reads the speed from the diff. That goes to an ABS ecu and that does whatever to sense locking up and applying the brakes. So the 180SX ABS sensor is basically a speed sensor. If I hooked it up to the wire that normally goes to the gearbox, then the speedo would move, but would probably be out of whack yeah? So what about using the S15 speed sensor? Whats the deal with swapping the flange on the front of a Non ABS diff, thus allowing you to use the the S15 speed sensor?
  12. Yeah getting tail shaft made up is no problem. So instead of flange what is it? The guy reckoned you can use the S15 VSS with an R200 diff. So you reckon I could get an ABS R200 and use the ABS sensor as the speed signal? Just wire that to the cluster, and use a frequency converter in line?
  13. Yeah dont mind using a speedo convertor, but want to know exactly what parts I will need and what I will need to do, ie. how and where to install the speed sensor, will the speed sensor from the S15 actual fit onto an R200, cos apparently the flanges are interchangeblae.
  14. OK so looks like its not possible. Could always get custom cluster with GPS speedo...
