  3. Hey guys just need some advice on some work I'm looking at doing. It needs new cams, so we're going with Camtech 260 and new valve springs. Is there anything else that will need to be changed along with this. They quoted me 2093 for cams and valve springs that includes labour. Also I currently have a haltech PS1000 and I still have the stock computer as well. They recommended I go with a nistune on the stock computer and sell the haltech, to improve the cars driveability, idle, cold start. So on top of the $2000 another $1100 for the nistune, bringing it to $3100. Does this sound reasonable or am I getting ripped off?
  4. Can the old haltech e8 run the flex fuel sensor and take advantage of using mixed fuels? Also Is there any highly recommend features on the platinum series ecu that the e series doesn't have? Keep in mind this car is mainly street but looking for around 350rwkw

It is a bit of a strange one and I am anticipating a fair amount of hate (so be gentle) but basically I have thrown an rb25det into my old e36 BMW. It has been a long build as everything has had to be fabricated from scratch but I鈥檓 finally at the fun end of the build (the tuning) which is what brings me to this forum. List of current mods include Rb25det series 2 with 5speed gearbox (Nissan) Greddy front facing intake plenum LS2 truck external mount coil packs 525cc Delphi injectors PWR intercooler Greddy bov (plumbed back) 80mm throttle body Bosch 040 fuel pump Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator Custom 3inch stainless exhaust system with high flow cat I am still sitting on stock internals, turbo and wiring loom for the time being as I would like to have the thing drivable before I go for the new cams and turbo The ECU that I have paired with it is a Haltech pro plug in. which is where I have hit a wall. Living in Cairns has made it very difficult to find someone who would be willing to tune the Haltech ecu (it seems all of the local tuners prefer vi-pec) and I was hoping that someone on this forum knows a guy who knows a guy that would be able to have a look at it for me to get it all running sweet!

So im new to this forum as i've just acquired an s13 180sx 1989 model which was originally a CA18DET, but has been converted to the SR20DET, coming from a BA falcon xr6 turbo, the feeling of the car, the way the power comes on everything is such a big change, and im LOVING IT haha. I swapped it for a four wheel drive which i was not using i got it stock, still has japanese rego sticker, stock air box, stock cooler, pretty much stock except for an exhaust & boost tee! Just before had to do some cutting to fit new Greddy FMIC Rear brakes were completely worn so had to do a replacement Lurkin with some mates, Blue r33 is making 305 rwkw on 15 pound with, a haltech, gtx3071R & 6boost manifold, 50mm gate (screamer) some 800cc injectors and bigger intank pump.. And the grey s15 is ALRYZE on the forums just recently purchased it and its a WEAPON! And the first minor problem, did some rather.. enthusiastic driving.. the end result haha Turbo setup Dummy fitted all the turbo setup Painted the wheels black, chucked on some stockies to go and have a play, doesnt look to bad i dont think. So now ive have full fuel system run which is -8 line from external bosch 044 to the rail which is an aeroflow item with bosch 2200cc injectors Full turbo setup is mounted and dump pipe all plumbed in Tomei 256/256 cams are installed.. and a brand new haltech ps1000 took for an baby drive & the engine has developed a lifter like tick, lifters have been changed but to no avail the sound is still there.. Fuel system all plumbed up Got some type X lights! couldnt be any happier to get rid of those rank other tail lights.     Hi all Probably time I started this build thread (yes loz you asked me to do it 6 months ago) I bought my s14 in December 2011. It had a few mods already done to it * body kit (hated that) * wheels (18" by 8.5" +35 I think they were) * FMIC * Boost bleed valve * 3" exhaust with centre muffler It had a few rough points i.e broken side skirt, rough as fark front bar. But was in otherwise good condition. My General goals for this car was to do Targa Tasmania due to spending alot of time down there and falling in love with the race. The Engine has been left to last for a reason, that being I wanted to make the car stop and turn before I screwed any power out of it. The plan for the engine is 350kw at the wheels running anti lag (yes I am very awear of what it does to valves and other bits) and generally being SIIICCCKKK. Also looking at running OS Gilken internals in my gear box. Why not go rb25 I hear people screaming. Targa do not allow you to run a different gearbox the gearbox must remain the standard casing with the internals open to be modified. Thats about it for now cant think of any other mods I've done to it theres probably a few. So here's some Pics for you all to look at
