I thought it was about time I started a build/progress thread for my S13. After playing around with my S15 (which is now nfi's, SX developments S15) doing sprints for a couple of years I decided to sell and buy something that I didn't mind too much if it got bent/damaged. I ended up buying "NS.com Thug"'s old s13 that already had most of the work done to it. Posted some pretty good times and had plenty of fun, decided towards the end of '11 that I wanted to do some actual racing instead. This year I've been doing Queensland Raceways Topgear series, as well as I did "2 Days of Thunder" racing against proper sports sedans and a few v8 supercars Qualified 2nd for my first race at Lakeside behind Callum in the Sil80. Almost claimed my first win in the second race until I was black flagged for leaving my window down. [media] ] QR Top gear round [media] ] 2 Days of Thunder at QR [media] ]
Everybody at the breakfast happy laps talk about coming to one of the sprint days but not many follow through. The number of S13's have been slowly dropping off and it would be good to see them out in force at the track again as the Excel's are taking over! Details are: 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM General Practise 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM Lakeside Open Sprint Rd3 Practise is untimed and is $120, sprints are $175 however if you do both (booking early and together) you pay about $200 or $220 for practise and the sprints ( a full day at the track). Call QR for finer details. This is probably my favorite as you ease into the day with the first warm up session and start to find your groove (courage) by about mid day when the sprints start. Follow this link to pre-book (highly advised as you save yourself a lot of money especially if you do both practise and sprints). http://www.qldraceways.com.au/sprints-getting-started Fill in the entry form under "open sprints". Any questions just ask here. If you see me there in my sil80 then say hello.
Tired of hanging around carparks frothing over your car's fully sick bodykit, hellaflush offset and huge dyno number and wondering what to do with your life? Make no more excuses! Stop aimlessly spending money on upgrades - start driving the way these cars were made to be driven! Update: Class Divisions the lists now seperate the hardcore tyre users from the street tyre users to make the list more achievable for those on lower budgets. To qualify for the street tyre class: - car must be road registered - tyres must be of treadwear 120 or higher, (595 rsr being the softest tyre available) - no aerodynamic devices allowed apart from factory items LEADERBOARD On google docs ! yay no more shitty forum editing !
