  1. A quick announcement I wish to make is my workshop is now opening to public. We will be carrying out all sort of engineering service to every one whom needs any sort of turbocharger related work for very reasonable prices, and for 9 years of turbo related engineering experiences, you will not find better workmanship. So If you wish to build you own dream turbo your own way, here is where you start. Here are some prices for some basic services. I will keep the list updated. Individual component balancing for compressor and turbine wheel or Assembly balancing: $100 VSR simulation and corrections, this is ideal for checkup for used and brand new CHRAs. Turbocharger Compressor profile and machining to suit specific compressor wheel and back plate $150: Turbine housing profile and machining $150: Turbocharger Wastgate porting and machining $50 This is a engineering service re-shaping turbocharger back plates to suit different radius and height of given compressor wheel and housings. The cost for this service is $50 This is a compressor wheel re-bore and re-size service. Our tolerance to perform this operation is under half a thou (1/80 of a mm). This service is perticular useful when people wish to mix and match compressor wheels in between different turbocharger manufactures. Ie. GTX Comp to TD06 Turbine. The cost to re-bore is $50 and cost to re-size is $50 Per phase (Can be taken from top or top and bottom depending on the length of the turbine shaft and bearing housing used.
  2. My gearbox on my 180sx is leaking oil from the reverse sensor. i am narrowing down th eproblem and im trying to work out a way to fix it. anyone else had the same problem or know how to properly fix it? cheers in advance.
  3. So I own an s15 silvia varietta, and during the hot weather spell in Melbourne (30~ celcius), was taking my car out for a spin and the car wasn't starting.. finally got it to start, then when i stopped at the traffic lights, the engine cut out randomly and it took a while for me to start the car again. This same problem also happened the day after (hot day again). Prior to this i've never had any problems with the car, been driving it now that the weathers cooled down and it runs 100%. Anyone know what the problem could be??
  4. my 1990 nissan 180sx (sr20de) started to play up yesterday and i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. while ideling the revs sit at about 1000 and drop down realy low in a pattern, while driving the car surges but only when im not accelerating or decelerating, it even clunks out every now and then. it smells rich and there is exhaust fumes (or smoke) coming out near the exhaust manifold. it has never done this before and i really want it fixed. if anyone know what is wrong please help. im suspecting a coil/plug issue and im buying new sets soon.
  5. hey all im new and this is my first post. I recently bought a 1990 180sx SR20DE and i have found out that the clutch master cylinder is leaking inside the car. i want to keep the original part in the car but if its cheaper and easier to get a new one ill go that way. however i was just wondering is it easy to repair the master cylinder myself and how would i do so?
  6. Purchased an s15 a few weeks ago, finally got it to my mechanic for the RWC and he says the car is perfect and clean except for the radiator support. Apparently a section has been removed for what I’m assuming was for a front mount intercooler. He says he can’t road worthy it like this and that I would need to go to a panel shop to see if it could be repaired or worst case need replacing! So, looking at the worst case.. If it needs replacing does the radiator support need to be cut out and welded in, or is it a bolted on structure part of the car? How difficult is the job and how much (from knowledge/experience) would I be looking at to set this right with a new radiator support? Really need some help here, don't know what to do. The car is so clean everywhere else, I bought it stock, but there is this underlying issue from its past.
