yeh between 10-11k, some times i wonder if it was the best way to go, but meh i got it now.

 

staring to regret going throu a well know compliance shop for 1400, when i could have gone throu Lam for 700. i was tossing up who to go with for a while but in the end i cbf'd so i just went with the well known company.

whack a nice kit on it and some nice rims and lower it and it will look HOT. personally im a big fan of nice kitted 4 door skylines :)

^^^i really want to get a vertex kit for it, but with the springs aswell i wont be able to drive it anywhere. plus i actually dont mind the m-spec bodykit, ud be suprised how good it will look once it has been lowered 30mm or so.

bloody tossas keyed it in shipping :angry: but hopefully it should be cut and polished out nicely.

Damn straight... i probably would have gone for one instead of the 180 if i could've found one on sale. Dont get me wrong... me loves me 180.

i lowered my stock one 3 inch and it looked pretty good on the stock rims which where dark silver almost a black kind of colour.

 

vertex kits are awesome on four doors. get some decent offset rims and roll the guards abit with stretched tyres and it will look f#ckin mint!

like i told you before dude, you should have gone with lam and saved yourself some cash but either way its on the road now right.

 

and your muffler is hanging pretty low, so just watch yourself when you lower it, i hated hitting my muffler on things, the sound of it hitting something made me feel sick, haha.

 

my r32 gtst 2door is on the road just wating for insurence to go through, come for a crusie sometime

yep, kinda regretting not going though Lam. but atleast with PVP they saved me money by giving the car an inspection and telling me what needed to be done roadworthy wise. got through first time, so pretty happy.

 

but still kicking myself from not going through Lam. owell, thanks for ur help at the time anyways. one problem was that when i needed to sort compliance out quick and called him up, i had a 5minute conversation with him and got nowhere except him going nuts at me becos he didnt understand me either. so i just hung up on him and called PVP cos i was kinda pissed off at him and needed complaince sorted quick.

This is for the Apexi one, mine is just a drift brand one from autobarn but i doubt they would be much different besides the price and the cabin controller.

APEXi ECV (Exhaust Control Valve)

 

The APEXi Exhaust Control Valve (ECV) controls the amount of exhaust flow from an exhaust muffler and thus varies the loudness of the exhaust volume. The ECV is installed after the catalytic converter in a vehicle's exhaust system. It can easily reduce the exhaust loudness level by a maximum of 10dB by varying the butterfly valve in the ECV. With the ECV, you can now maximize a high performance car potential; be it driving in urban areas, at night, or in areas with strict sound emission laws, just by varying the butterfly valve opening in the ECV.

 

All these adjustments can be done in the cockpit on the fly by wire controls of the ECV. The butterfly valve can be controlled in real time while driving either with the valve in fully opened, fully closed, or partially opened position. Before the invention of the APEXi ECV, exhaust sound levels could only be controlled by using different inner silencers in an exhaust muffler. These inner silencers require vehicle down time to install, dismantle, and re-install to achieve similar performance levels of the ECV.

 

The ECV replaces the connecting flange on the piping (after the catalytic converter) that connects to the catalytic converter. The wire that controls the butterfly valve on the ECV runs via the heat sensor cabling (as in NISSAN vehicles) and through an opening from the vehicle's under carriage to the interior of the vehicle where it terminates at the valve control lever switch in the cockpit (Easily accessible by the driver). Minor drilling & modification on exhaust piping after the catalytic converter might be required on other vehicle makes (e.g. TOYOTA vehicles).

 

Please select your Pipe or flange size. Either is suitable depending upon your application. The flange type will fit as a replacement flange that connects to the catalytic converter - just choose your flange size. The pipe type will fit AFTER your existing flange by creating a cut and weld in between the pipe and is specified in the size of the pipe you are installing into. See the drop down list below.

 

See also the DECS - Dynamic Electronic Control System sold separately which allows you to manage this Exhaust Control valve electronically!

 

my experience is that is does reduce the noise level, but its not some magical solution to a very loud exhaust like mine. i will still need to further reduce mine.

apparently, the best upgrade for a 32 gts in terms of power, is to throw in a standard Z32 twinturbo ECU, straight plug in!

But arent the injectors on rb20 smaller than on vg30 so the the ecu wont be able to operate them properly unless chipped?

I was told by a very reliable source, haven't tried it for myself.. And i can almost guarantee that the ECU DIDN'T need to be chipped..
