CA18 Dyno Results. No Chit Chat. Results only please

Recommended Posts

I looked at the TD05 18 as a good option to keep "some" response.

What do you mean here? " Depends what your after suss Dyno results"

Got my CA18 tuned last week, Big thanks to Sam Cornell (Dr Drift) for flying up to Coffs Harbour to tune my car. I dont have the dyno sheet but will get it up asap.

We ended up with 339rwkw @ 23psi on E85, We know it has a bit more in it and believe it went higher but the dyno broke.

Awesome results and congrats after a long wait :)

I wish we had E85 here!

The closest servo with E85 is about 120km away, but my brother inlaw goes that way for work a fair bit, so he is taking my drums and filling them for me. Plus i dont drive it on the road very often now, so i wont go through that much

Closest for me would be either at Winton (ridiculously expensive if they even had it) or from Melbourne/Canberra =\

Thanks mate, we are very confident that it made just over 350rwkw but there was a fault with the dyno so we have no way of knowing for sure. The plan was to run about 25psi, that would have been the limit of our fuel system as we where close on 23psi. Hope fully everything goes to plan the next time i run at the drags and we can run a 10sec pass.

I will try to get the dyno sheet up asap. just have to go back to the workshop where the dyno is and print it off

Yeah i had around that sort of power back in the day with my t25, went hard. but id be looking at your fuel ratios using a mines ecu as they generally are shit rich down low and lean up top.

Hey mate - Ill post up the Dyno chart, AFR's are Excellent. At redline they are flat 12.0.

Also cruise ratios are perfect 14.7 and the transition to boost dips down to around 11. Chris, my mechanic was impressed and quite happy with the results.

I was expecting around 100rwkw on standard boost (123rwkw - 9psi) then we slowly upped the boost. I didn't want to go over 13psi.

So yeah i will get the Dyno sheet up ASAP.

From a standard t25 I couldn't believe the results!

very good from the standard T25.

Never had it dynoed since, replaced to a bosch 040, boosted at 15psi. id assume itd be close to the 150rwkw mark.

At 15 PSI with the T28 i would think up in 160rwkw territory - although with the STD ecu, i would get it dynoed purely to check AFR's.

Again, T28 should hold 15psi to redline, if not dropping to 14psi.

Could be close to maxxing standard injectors to be honest..

i blew that CA,

put another CA in that, then blew that CA.

Id get it re dynoed but. bit impossible when i keep blowing CA's.

Well running 15psi through a T28 and standard injectors on Standard ECU is a bit silly...

TD06SL2-20G 50/50 E85/BP98

Hit the limitations of my 800cc injectors and the 50/50 blend. next stage will include, ORC twin plate, 1200+cc injectors, dual feed fuel rail, full e85. But for now going to enjoy the car.

thanks mate works really well also. feels like driving our mates SR20DE+T very linier(drove it straight after driving this on the same track and it performed almost identical). took it out for its first track day on the weekend and it worked very well. this is my 3rd lap.

Awesome, as if CAs aren't the best.

What event was that? I've hit a few DECAs with SAU, I didn't realise you were local (ish)

Ahh nice, yeah SAU does a similar thing, autocross driving on the skid pan (with drifto) and time sprinting on the back track and mini track in the middle. Good times.
