GPS Speedometer legal in NSW?

Recommended Posts

There is an ADR that says a speedo must indicate a speed higher than the actual speed, 5% is the usual figure. If the GPS speedo is capable of doing that then it should be legal, I don't think GPS speedo is specifically excluded. However having seen the speed jump all over the place at times on my GPS, you need to be careful using it.

If you get a speedo without "GPS" stated anywhere no one will know any better. It'll just look like any other ordinary speedo
