Fitting short bosch injectors in s14/15

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

I remember reading some time ago that short Bosch injectors can actually be fitted to s14/15 with using generic sr20 top fuel rail - not s14/15 specific one with spacers etc.

Can anyone shed some light on how it's actually done?

you need to remove the plastic area on the top of the injector and run 2x o-rings to fit. The injector body rests up against the plenum itself and the stock OEM injector bosses are there to hold it in place however do not provide any seal.

Actually I was reading installation manual for Mazworx rail: http://www.heavythrottle.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/10173-V1-S14-S15-Fuel-Rail-Kit-Differences.pdf

And they suggest to do something similar: Machine plastic tip if it doesn't fit and use O-ring provided by Mazworx, which I assume is just a little thicker(instead of using 2 orings as suggested by dosepipes).

Only difference is they they use 3/4 injectors so I assume 1/2 would fit quite well without spacers.

I run a maxworx rail, delphi 1400 half height injectors with bpp injector boss adapter things in the manifold.
