Advertised price and selling price are very different, while the value of s chassis varies allot with popularity supply etc I don't think he'd get near 26k

Well its SOLD now already. So I'm going to assume that at the very least he he got 20k+ for it.

Its was a very nice, clean, original example of a type x. It was also a rare sunroof model (like mine). So not surprised it sold so quickly for the price that it did.

I contacted a number of Jap importers in Australia about finding a nice type x in Japan and importing it and he said Japan had basically been picked clean to the bone for these cars now and there was not much left and that ones that were left they were asking $$$$$$$$ 25k+ for a super clean example.

Yeh I've seen someone pay 20k for a imported s15 in a intestate yard that was very obviously wound back and I think that's rediculous, I don't think a type x is worth over 16k, and sure if you're going to handpic a car from Japan and pay for it to be imported it's definitely going to cost more than the cars worth on its own

Any recommendations on a importer that knows their 180sx well?

"Worth"

It's reached the point where finding a car with straight panels is nearing out of the question, and it did it before people realised. Combined with a lot of parts being NLA, even the people who have been saying "you wont be able to find these soon" are caught off guard.
