s15 engine swap into s14 won't idle unless giving it some throttle!

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

so i have done a s15 engine swap into a s14 series 1, running the s14 5 speed, looms, colipacks, injectors and ECU.

car won't start unless i give it some throttle, also runs abit rough. once i back of the throttle it stalls. anyone had this issue before?? i only have a dump pipe connected could the back presser be causing this issue?

does anyone know how to check the fault codes on a s14 that has the ECU with NO led lights in them?

You'll need to plug a consult cable into the obd2 port

put in a S15 ecu OR run S14 injectors :)

OR get it Nistuned, I can supply and tune for you if you're in Sydney.

edit.. you are already running the S14 injectors.

perhaps smoke test it and unplug the stock narrow band o2, it could be applying a long term fuel trim.

Maybe run S15 injectors, coils, ecu, to make it a n S15 engine in an S14. Aslong as the looms are compatible (I've no idea of that) Was the S15 donor car adm or jdm? Not sure if it would make a difference in your case?
