m&m 9 Posted November 1, 2007 Tattoos are a passion of mine, and Nina, so seeing how there are quite a few members with them now, I thought I would start a thread for members tatts. Jovi, Hyper180, Simon, Phee and whoever else has any, please post up pics on here. I'll start with some pics of mine. The dagger with the kids names went on first to start the sleeve and thats the outline of my back piece. I will post up more later.
Mac Dog 0 Posted November 1, 2007 I was going to post mine up... but F**k you make mine look like butterflies! <_>
phee 13 Posted November 1, 2007 As I mentioned to 180 mine are incomplete. The cross was meant to be filled in black which is why the inside 'outline' isn't straight, but a black tattoo like that on my frame is going to look stupid so I am going to expand the line inwards by probably 1cm so it is nice and thick and looks more like a cross than an 'x marks the spot'. The dragon I'll get shaded eventually, some people mentioned in general O/T that the lines of it are too thick but to me it just makes it more definate and not a pin scratch and I like them so honestly if you don't I'm not going to give a rats ass [*] The dragon represents wisdom, courage, mystery and strength. [*] The cross is a crifix on an angle, since I am Catholic that's the symbol for my religion, but as it isn't upright and direct represents felxibility in belief and the saying 'don't believe everything you hear'. [*] The Chinese words say "RESPECT YOURSELF" which is fairly self explanitory, but I had them done right above my butt to show you should never take life too seriously

m&m 9 Posted November 1, 2007 I was going to post mine up... but F**k you make mine look like butterflies! <_> Ummm, that was just the start, here are some more pics. You should post yours up, who gives a stuff how big they are, a nice tatt is a nice tatt. Your dragon and cross look great Phee, a thick outline looks great on some tattoos, and that cross would be too much in a solid infill, a thick outline would look better. That's what I thought too. I just got to get the motivation together and do something about it. I had them started when I was 19 - 20 and haven't touched them since, mainly due to making sure I knew exactly what I wanted before proceeding.

Sherman 1 Posted November 1, 2007 If you read the first post i think you'll find they're markos' kids. Even if you didn't read it you should've been able to work it out lol. That sleeve looks amazing! I'm trying hard to convince myself to get a full sleeve too.

j0gGiE 3 Posted November 1, 2007 That sleeve looks amazing! I'm trying hard to convince myself to get a full sleeve too. Markos has already convinced me, unknowingly mind you
180_mph 4 Posted November 1, 2007 I think with a full sleeve, if you need convincing, then don't get it done. You should know right away, either YAY or NAY.
Sherman 1 Posted November 1, 2007 Its just coming up with so many different designs to fill the sleeve is the problem. I want it to be perfect. Guess i'll just take my time finding exactly what i want.

m&m 9 Posted November 1, 2007 This is the start of my new sleeve, starts at the pec, will be 2 snakes and 6 skulls. You can never have enough skulls. The guy doing this is the best artist in the world in my opinion. He is overseas at the moment so my next appointment is in December. He is so booked he is not taking appointments. I got very very lucky.
m&m 9 Posted November 1, 2007 The dagger and Nina was done by Andrew Macleod at Chappel tattoo in Chapel St Windsor. The dragon sleeve was done by Rob Abel at Dynamic Tattoo in Swan St Richmond. The back piece is being done by Jenny Roach, Nepean Hway Seaford The chest and sleeve on my right is being done by Giovanni at Eternal Instinct on St Georges Rd Northcote. Giovanni will do the rest of my tattoos.
j0gGiE 3 Posted November 1, 2007 My tiger was done by a shop at Kings Cross, forgots the name, but wouldn't be recommending him to anyone. Like Markos said the business is booming, and if you can walk into a shop and get started right away, they obviously aren't good and don't have that many customers. Pity I didn't know that before The eagle and cross were a home job, done in Bosnia. A lot of people are scared of home jobs, I had mine done and although it took a little bit longer then expected (7 hours) it came up a treat and am very happy with it. I'll probably be going to one of the guys that has done Markos' tattoos, a full sleeve, into a chest plate and my shoulder blade (covering the tiger) done. Mac Dog 0 Posted November 1, 2007 This one when I was 18. Aries symbol. Need to get it re done, looks very faded. And this one when I turned 21. When I get my new ones on my left shoulder and right arm... they will all interconnect using the tribal bordering.
