yeh this is..

finally chosen to go get a honda and now tryin to choose between these two models..

the reason for me choosing honda is because of their vtec engines and n/a power..

woulda went nissan buh cant drive turbos as of new p plate laws!.. :yes:

wanted to see which was better in performance etc etc..

THe type R is a very nice car, they are noisy but. It depends on the money u have. DC2's go for about 20k for a nice example dont they? Also how much will you drive the car? If u drive the car alot get the prelude if not the type r, if ya just cruising it could be a waste for a type r to just rack up the K's on it. Just my opinion

hey hey hey!!!!

honda fanboys belong here too... remember its hardtuned.net now....

don't go ozhonda dude... you'll get flamed hard for a thread like this...

ozhonda = TOOLS!!!!!!!

but i would choose the type R for sure... type R's are a bit too powerful for p platers however...

power to weight must be under 125kw : 1 tonne... get anything under that power to weight ratio...

integra type R's have 141 kW and weight around 1120 kg...

141/1120*1000 = 125.8kw per tonne = high powered vehicle...

bragging rights go type R... to stay a law abiding citizen prelude

well whatever your budget is...

Type R - 20k+

Prelude 5th Gen VTiR - 15K or Below (Decent)

Prelude 4th Gen VTiR - 12K or Below (Decent)

which one outta these two cars are better?..

the honda integra type R dc2r or the 4th gen honda prelude vtir? :blush:

the question should be asked after you know what you want the car to do for you, everyone automatically says the R, best thing is drive them yourself and find out.

ozhonda = TOOLS!!!!!!!

Ozhonda is shit.

a few precious souls here, build a bridge and move on

No... No it wasn't. It was a fail...

Ozhonda is shit.

Most of the people posting in here are idiots.

Why you are comparing the two is beyond me. They are totally different cars designed for different things. The Prelude was never intended to be used like you would use a ITR.

If you want to cruise around in comfort then the Prelude is the better car.

If you think your a hardcore uber leet hills racer, then go with the ITR.

yeah i got it the first time, but with those results what Honda nut can refuse with a 10-15k budget however, an originally light weight chassis kept that way with factory reliability and driveability, easy servicing, no compromising lag, better torque and power from idle to cutout, 12sec 1/4 without much fuss. I'd love one in my DC.

dc2r ftw!

B18C7 all the way when comparing it to a H22A

The H is too heavy n doesnt wanna revv as hard as a 1.8L B

way i see it is what is the car coing to spending the most time doing when your driving it 4th gen vti-r are very very very comfortable cars to drive and with prices nowadays very low i dont see anything wrong with them, the type r on the other hand is still expensive for a good one that hasnt been thrashed the ass out of, but in saying what i just said a type r is so fun to drive when your in the twisties
