Hi Guys,

Finished building my black specR S15 and got it on Matts dyno the other week.

Make 421 on roo16 and 380 on pump

I'll take some pics of the car soon.

Make and model: S15 2000 Spec R

Size of engine: 2L

Modifications to the car: PFC D-jetro, Greddy Plenum, Hypertune Throttle Body, Sard 800cc injectors, big fuel lines, Splitfire Ignition, Walbro intake pump and two external 044 bosch pumps, 6 boost manifold, CP pistons, Eagle H rods...think thats about it...

Type of turbo: garrett GT3076R

When does vehicle begin boost:2500

When does vehicle reach full boost and what PSI: 4200 @ 25psi on ROO16

Does the vehicle have Cams? if so; yes

What brand: HKS Step 2 + HKS Valve Springs

Max power achieve at what boost: 421.7HP @ 25 psi on ROO16

What ya's think?

Paul

very nice power figure, and 4200 for full boost is nor too bad considering the power nice turbo those ones!

that would be a bit of allright to drive i recon :)

thats HP btw, not BHP as BHP is not tested on a Dyno.

Like 8700s14 said BHP refers to the engines crank horse power not power to the wheel, all cars from factory are quoted with a BHP rating which is why a car that makes '206kw' from factory may only put down 170rwkw.

That tune definately needs smoothing out, at least its a lot better than the first one. Nice to see no huge power drop off on the top end but my personal preferance is for better response and more linear power rather than hitting boost and going up 200hp in a matter of 1000rpm, how is it to drive around that 50hp @ 2600rpm can't be too fun. Nice results but i'd be looking at smoothing that tune out a bit and trying to recover some bottom end.

bhp can either be brake Horse Power (where it's effectively flywheel power) or British Horse Power - exactly the same as the american SAE measurement we've all come to know and love.

nice list of mods but am i the only one that thinks its power level is a little under parr? 380hp at 25psi with a 3076r? decent all the same but id be looking 2 tidy up the tune and find more power all over.

thanks mate..

it made 380hp on pump at 22psi and 420hp on Roo16 at 25psi... you can see this at the bottom of the dyno readout

matts dyno is reads quiet a fair bit lower then most other dyno's, put the car on another dyno and i am sure the will have a higher reading.
