theres a vid on youtube of a ca18de s13 sliding, he does pritty well, you notice the power lacking, i think it might be longer diff gearing though, i've got 4.11's and my gears feel closer together

i remember learning to drift with a 3.9, shimmed lsd. That was pretty tuff in a ca18de haha. But man, 4.3 2way is where its at, SOOOO much better. @ thriller: it will be atleast a 3.9 id say.

awwwwww, yeah. that's awesome. RB20DE would surely suck balls. (judging this on my mates RB20DET that has absolutely no power without a turbo and was laggy as hell)

a det without a turbo and a de are completely different

RB20DE goes fine, same as an SR20DE

Spotted this earlier. I would pick it up but it'd be kind of pointless since I'm without a car to put it into at the moment.

VERY cheap compared to what we pay for for an Autech SR20DE.

Aghh damnit, I wasn't clear there, sorry. Made myself look like an idiot.

What I meant was "BEFORE BOOST COMES ON" the rb20det has absolutely no torque. Totally gutless. Obviously the higher compression on a DE would be a bit better but I'm yet to have a ride or drive of anything with an RB20DE in it

Edit: I DID say it was laggy as hell though. Referring to turbo obviously

Fair effort dude. If you didn't label it with "CA18DE" I could imagine a lot of people getting it confused with a DET'd SR20.

Cool video, nice driving. looks like mallala goes alright with the ol DE.

Might head out for a practice night soon, just a pain because I have to drive to/from, so if anything goes wrong it's not like I have the rest of the day to organize something :(

2grfe, extractors, custom plenum, and computer = just over 200 rwkw.

Yea I've put s13 gear in mine with BC BR's all round and whiteline pan hard. What did you do with the tie rod ends? Mine are at maximum flex

Standard r31 tie rods and ends, will be going to Garage7 rack spacers that convert to s13 tie rod thread soon so I can run s13 stuff
