My S15 =)

Recommended Posts

So here is my baby, I like how the stock body looks so a body kit will never go on. The rear bar has been swapped with a JDM item, hate those damn reflectors!

Car sits a bit lower then stock with some decent wheels and tyres.

Didn't take any photos of the interior because it's all stock looking, the AVCR boost controller and Power FC hand controller are hidden in the glove box.

The fronts didn't need a respray but the rears needed respray of rear quarter. Was a bit scary to get it done but it came out exactly how I wanted it to.

The wider Kumhos are so much better then the stretched Federal 595s. I'm more into grip and the 595s were losing traction everywhere, both in the dry and wet. The car has just under 230rwkw and these Kumhos have more then enough grip.

Can't wait to do my skid pan day, then off to QLD raceway for some track time! :):)

Was the rear flare fibreglassed or bogged in any way?

Cheers,

I love how this has no reflectors, flares, stock body kit, no big cannon wanker copper magnet exhaust pretty much everything i like.

Hope you dont mind me using your car as inspiration, for when i take it to get the flares done and say "I want it exactly like this".

I just placed an order for my new brakes. The guys in the UK seem to have good results with K-Sport stuff so thought I'd give them a go.

  • Front - 8pot calipers with 356mm rotors
  • Rear - 6pot calipers with 330mm rotors

Will try to pick up the R33 rear handbrake assembly and other parts this week.

Also getting together an oil cooler kit, Tomei Super Oil Block Adapter, Greddy Remote Oil Filter Relocation with Thermostat, etc....

Just some photos from latest Brisbane meet:

So my VTC gear is on it's way out, so bought some adjustable to put in. Will be keeping the advance/retard at ZERO so I won't need a new tune (I think).

Since I'm taking the rocker cover off, I thought I should install rocker arm stoppers while I'm at it. So picked up these GKTech ones.

I'll try remember to take photos when I work on the car :)

Thanks mate!

I decided to scrap the adjustable cam gears, ordered the genuine VTC gear instead.

No major updates lately, still waiting on VTC gear and rocker cover from TAARK.

But I do have the following ordered and arriving soon:

  • AEM wideband O2 sensor/gauge kit
  • Defi oil pressure/temperature gauges
  • DIN gauge panel
  • Oil cooler parts from SummitRacing
  • TuneAgent oil filter block

Car is going back to CES exhaust for a custom made oval front pipe, the current pipe hangs lower then the chassis and scrapes a lot. The oval shaped front pipe will clear the chassis rails and give me the extra ground clearance =) it will look something like this:

The AEM kit arrived today, and I installed the DIN gauge holder.

No current plans for a front lip yet, was thinking maybe Spec-R sideskirts or rear pods.

Love this s15 & everything about it, the way its been modified.

Same idea with my s14, no bodykits, twin tip exhaust low & decent offset wheels.

Will be keeping a close eye on this thread.

The K-Sport big brake kit is awesome! I have had them for about a year, 8 upfront & 6 at the rear. You will enjoy them.
