Love it, white on white is always a winner. Only thing I'd do if it was my own is put some yashio factory taillights in, no offense but IMO they cheapen the look of your car dramatically, all in all but I dig it! =]

So it has been a while since I have updated this thread.

In the past year car has been off the road for almost 6 months now.

Had issues with the manifold cracking again. Also purchased some more new rims, could go past some P1's for track wheels. 17x8+31 17x9 +32 almost perfect fitment but just right for track wheels.

IMG_0515.jpg

Had that pesky re-welded again as time did not suit turbo upgrade.

12 hours later was on a amazing 6am hills run the the southwest of perth and managed to hit a kangaroo. This did as it turns out not a whole lot of damage but still enough to make me mad.

This then led to me getting on the brake in second and grabbing third. Was a great skid until the wonderful sound of the SR death rattle.

Towed it home and It sat in my driveway for about 4ish months before I truly decided on what I wanted to do with it.

On one had I thought put fresh stock motor in and strip it back to stock and sell it. Then another had said buy stock motor and put the high mount etc on it and chase the 400hp atw that I wanted. Decided that selling it would be the best idea and had a stock motor lined up to pop in. When picking up other parts for friends S15 from the guy with the SR20, I was then convinced to keep my car as I would not find a car that I would be happy with for the price of a S15. So modded SR20 here I come!........not so fast.

I procrastinated in buying the stock motor for some time as other financial priorities came up first. When it came time to buy the stock motor circumstances had changed and I was not interested in buying that motor anymore (long story). So I thought f**k it, do it once do it right......... RB25!

So hunted a bit for a RB25 motor/box combo and finally laid down the coin for the motor/box/crossmember/loom and other bits required for conversion from Steve May @ MAYTECH. Big up's to Steve for being unbelievably helpful with my purchase and no doubt will continue to as I finish the conversion. So motor box sitting at home waiting for Josh @ GALVSPORT to have time to fit it up before his trip overseas. I had also picked up a Exedy Twin Plate clutch to put in the box while the motor is out.

photo3.jpg

Josh managed to fit the car in the weekend before Christmas weekend. So the SR junk was pulled out and the the RB crossmember was installed, Motor and box went in and custom gearbox mount was made. Not bad for a days work! Car then made it back to my place Monday as did a ute load of SR20 parts/motor/gearbox etc. Josh then informed me on couple of things I am going to have to look into/get. One of these was to unfortunately get a new bonnet as my current one fouls on the RB25 so need to hunt down a Stock bonnet which in the scheme of things is not such a bad thing.

IMG_0945.jpg

So as it sits now back at home it is waiting for Josh to come back from holidays and me to purchase some parts.

Going to be shooting for around the 400-450hp atw mark which in my opinion will be insane compared to 400hp with a SR as the torque figure will be much higher.

Stay tuned as I finish the build.

Will be copping new wheels and brakes too.

Will update with more better quality photos as there is more progress.
