Just a little help deciding?

Recommended Posts

Now before you get angry at me, I've been researching a little for a DSLR for my wife as a present.

She's held the Nikon d90 and the Canon 500d and likes both, did say the Nikon looked a little complicated to her though.

Now price wise I don't want to spend over $1500 and so far i would just like your advice on some prices i have found and see if there ok?

Canon 500d twin kit 18-55is & 55-250is Lenses - $1288 (jb hifi)

Nikon d90 18 - 55m VR Lense - $1499 (teds)

Thoughts?

Any others i should be looking at?

Thank you.

Check the Nikon site,

there is a $200 cash back on the D90 at the moment, but it ends very soon... maybe this week, maybe next cant remember.

I'd go the D90, but I prefer Nikons :P

just got the 500D kit,

im a complete noob and i find it pretty easy to use and get the hang of.

So your happy with it then?

I went to jb - hifi again and for cash the bloke can do it for $1100 and that's for the Canon 500d with twin Lense kit.

Probably will get that i reckon.

Nikon d90 is $1499 after $200 cash back.
