Any Sevendust or Eye Empire fans here?

Got 2 Sevendust LP's:

Home / Animosity.

Home was just "Chug Chug" guitar riff all through out

Brings back memories.

Man! You HAVE to listen to these albums, Next, Alpha and Cold Day Memory. Seasons is also mad good balance of heavy and light. Cold Day Memory by far the most amazing. but the other two are just mad grumpy epic cds

Haha!

Yeah I will have to check'em out, been a while since I listen to any Sevendust.

Was heavily into them along with Slipknot / Mudvayne / Soulfly / Sepultura. (Still listen to these bands).

But when I saw Hatebreed tour with Soulfly back in 2003 I got into Hatebreed.

That's when I went down the Hardcore / Metalcore path and didn't look back much on them.

Still, I will give'em a listen.

^ They're just upset because they don't evolve like the bands they listen to and a re being left behind. That said, I'm impressed they managed to throw beer cans without opposable thumbs...

Just discovered Scar Symmetry & their latest albumn; tasty metal indeed

I listen to them a fair bit now, really good.

The guitarist is very underrated. Got some incredibly good solos.

Novelty lasted about 2 seconds as it did with the Arch Enemy chick.

Following on from my Opeth comments... I discovered Simbelmyne.

It has all the beautiful bleakness of old school Opeth sans Ackerfeldt. It's really quite amazing. Even the production is the same, almost like B-sides from the Still life era.

Opeth could sue. But really this is awesome. Travis Orbin is on the drums!

^ Interesting - Will have a hunt around for an EP

Some great new gear that I am getting into at the moment (all albums):

Between the Buried and me - The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues

Fair to Midland - Anchors & Arrows

Haken - Visions

Obscura - Omnivium

Scar Symmetry - The Unseen Empire (musical erection material)

Sylosis - Edge of the Earth (epic sound & production)

Symphony X - Iconoclast (I love cheesy 80's guitar hero shit, this just about takes the cake)

That should keep fellow metal heads busy for a while, something for every taste in there!

I don't have speakers on the work computer, but I saw this posted on another forum.

Tell me if they've turned a good metal song into audio diarrhea.

That is the most god-awful abortion of a remix I think I've ever heard. Sometimes drugs can unleash the genius within (Hendrix for example), other times they cause people to fail at life and make a dubstep track out of a Lamb of God song.

This is nice. Vocals sound a bit US pop but I forgive them.
