I've just got 60D and had a look on D7000, it's quite impresive spec... 39 AF..

but I couldn't justify my 'future' wife the price of D7000 hahaah so 60D is good enough for me

Yeah 60D is a fair amount cheaper tahn d7000 but is still a decent DSLR

did you get the twin lens kit?

i ended up getting the D7000 for $1800 body only :o wallet says ouch!

has a crap load more features than my old D40X, lol

nah I only got the single kit 18-55mm, coz the other lens the 55-250, the review is not good... paying another $400, I rather get the decent lens for it

Even the 18-55mm is a crappy lens but it's a start for me lol

I got a d3000. Can't go past it for image quality tho gets a bit noisy at higher iso ratings

D7000 is more expensive for the same thing!

Pm if ur interested in more info on d3000

main reasons for d7000 instead of d3000/d3100 for me

- AF motor in body to run all af lenses (my 10.5 nikkor af now, yay)

- Interval timer

- Bracketing mode

- can set release mode dial to remote from the outside of camera

- Twin memory card slots

- U1 & U2

D3100 is 550d/t2i equivalent, whilst d7000 is the 60d.

the nikons have always had more AF' points, and those two bodies have in built AF, especially good if your a noob and cant grasp the concept of MF'sing for HD movies.

But overall same same. Canon have slightly better HD movie and audio technology over the nikon. but same junk really. all are APSC cropped bodies.

But you should all know its not the body that matters. Invest in good lenses.

I think D7000 is better than 60D (and this is coming from 60D owner... cry... I so want D7000)

but true spend it on the lens.

Agreed, Nikon has just released there new lenses as well but @ 1K per lens its not easy money to spend

btw anyone that is interested in purchasing let me know as i have a contact (nikon + others) and can maybe get some deals on PSLR/DSLR cameras and lenses
