1992 Hilux Surf.. head gasket is gone! CHEAP!

Recommended Posts

Very sad sale!

I need to move some cash into a savings account and my loved 4wd is going to provide me the cash to do this.

Details are:

2.4 turbo diesel auto

has sunnies 15x8 with 31x10.5x15 desert duelers with decent tread left

turbo is in good condition, with no leaks

uhf radio

stereo

front bullbar

2 spotties on bullbar

roof racks with cage with 2 work lights on the roof racks

Rego until January

200350kms

clear coat 80% gone from the roof. starting to go on the bonnet

recent mechanical work included Timing Belt and front crank seal replacement. together with p/s an a/c belts

The engine has a knocking noise coming from it, it is from the top of the engine and has been there since i purchased the vehicle. temp guage sits at half way and rises to 3/4 climbing the freeway at a typically slow speed.

This vehicle has been offroad, and does handle climbs and mud very well. has not been thrashed as this was my daily driven vehicle.

Despite the engine noise, i still use this as a daily. If the noise was an issue im pretty sure the engine would of seized or gone bang by now.

would love to get $7k for it but will be open to offers between $5500 and $7000

HUGE PRICE DROP $3500 ono

NEED IT GONE $2000

Car is located in Magill

1uzfe toyota V8 cnversions are very commen and easy. will cost about $4k to do that if u know how to weld engine mounts... the rest is bolt on and some wiring!!!!

engine has done 2000kms with the noise.... i suspect its a valve clearance issue or something similar.

oil guage has started to be an issue as somedays it works fine and others it doesnt, same as the speedo.... works when it wants to.. this is common with the surfs as they use an electric speed and oil guage and the resistors or welds dry out
