yeh i like the D5000 but the D7000 has way better iso and a built in focus motor. My uncle is getting the D5100 so im going to have a play around with that, being the other camera crossing my mind.

Yeah i think if you want to use older AF only lenses, the D7000 is better as it has the motor. I just read the D5100 has the same sensor as the D7000, thats crazy.

im thinking the new line of FX cameras are going to have crazy high but minimal grain at high ISO.

here is another HDR from yesterday, enjoy

the last picture was taken at bombo, the suburb before Kiama.

i looked into getting a case for my DSLR but then just ended up getting a Lumix DMC-FT2 due to the cost.

Finially got a 70-200mm 2.8 lens, ended up getting the Sigma OS version as the Nikkor is just so so expensive. here are some samples

Im waiting to get the sigma for the same reason, 2.5k for a lens is a little extreme for me.

yeah i would be scared to use the thing at 2.5k, and that for a grey import!

sigma is definitly worth it and highly reccomend. the OS definitly helps and has reasonable sharpness at 2.8
