1.5jz cressida, parted out.cry me a river.

so swaped my old ca18 ke70 that took me 8 months to build and only drove it 4 times for this.had alot of bad luck with cars,but hopeing thigs will change soon.

 

what it had when i picked it up

 

1989 MX83 1Jz cressida

 

The engine is from a JZA70 and has 3inch mandrel bent intake pipe.

JZX81 engine mounts.

au thermos

2.5 inch exhaust system all the way through with a small muffler down the back. -

GA70 FMIC with 2.25? inch piping.

W57 box with a 7M clutch. Using a 2JZGE bellhousing

Battery in boot

Pioneer CD/MP3 player with 6x9 speakers in the back.

stock towbar

stock s14 wheels

 

Car made 151rwkw on 10psi.

the car was a box of shit when i got it,runing cut king springs and stock r33 wheels,and melted wiers.blew the motor the first time i took it out to a local skid day.

 

so this is how i build a car.proper and should do the job at hand.

orderd a 600 300 intercooler today,need to get the thermos working and might try make a sr20 aloy radiater fit.

well striped the front end redy for the new cooler and pipeing.allso gona order an aloy radiater and make it fit.

gona keep it SA regoed in my bros name just so i can drive it now and then.

 

its not leaving my shed untill i get cooler,radiater,boost gauge,coilovers,wheels. :yes:

 

going to try make the next winton after drift fest.

 

i dont get payed anuf so no drift fest for me :cry:

so im rebuilding the shifter but i can only get the bottom bush,what is the other bush???looks like its a locater for the shifter hole??anyone had this problem????

will be more of a track car man,might get a pair of 33 gtr wheels for the front untill i find some wheels i like.

 

droped the bottem shifter bush into the gearbox so had to drop the xmember to get the top plate off to get the bush out. <_>

 

allso have a new aloy radiater radiater on the way,strate bolt in :thumb:

gave the 1j a birthday today,new platnom plugs,oil and filter and a boost gauge.

 

anyone know how to hook up a boost tee peace on a 1jz?????

Id def go R33 GTR rims on this all round, slammed with lipped guards, no kit.

 

However its your car and im sure you'll make it how you want it and awesome!

yea man just wont it to slide,gona keep it simpel :thumbsup:

 

all new shifter bushes but still feels a bit notchy.oh well might start saveing for a r154.

had some gk lock spacers laying around so i put them im,allso pissed off the gas strut thing on the rack,dont know if thats good or bad.

 

so my cooler and radiater should be hear next week so i can make all the pipeing and drive it.

 

needs new tie rod ends bad,who do good aftermarket ones??

so new tie rod ends and rack boots,allso made a stanless intake pipe.

 

geting prity pissed off cos my cooler and radiater are takeing so long to get hear,it dose not take over a week to get parts deliverd in australia :rant: .

tryed some s13 lcsa but had to drill a hole to hit the caster rod,way to hard.so im gona try cut and shut the stock lcas,probly make them 25mm longer.painted my front lip black,pulled the sill trim things off the side of the car,orderd a new corner light and headlight cos it has 2 diff headlights.will get some pics wen cooler and radiater are all in.

so finished my cut and shut lcas,should do the job.dont think thay will bend or brake anytime soon but time will tell :ph34r:

 

now to find some longer tierods.

found some tie rods at work but ill have to find out what thay are off so iff anyone els is doing this mod it will be heaps ezyer.

 

dont know about the bend in them but ill find out after some testing.

so shes all back together looking good,tie rods still hit the lcs at full lock, <_>

 

got about 3 camber but should be all sweet wen i get my bc coilovers.

 

oh and the tie rods are off a subaru something,brumby/L siries????

so my cooler and radiater turnd up today,all mounted and got one side of the cooler pipeing welded and finished,allmost tacked the other side then noteced i still have to put the thermos in so im going to look for some realy thin ones at work tomoro.allso going to get a 3-2.5 cooler pipe elboy for the throtel body, dident wont to run one as i woned it to look neat but ther is f**k all room so have to run one :(

 

allso going to order a set of bc rm series coilovers tomoro.
