s14/s15 radiators

Recommended Posts

Hey people, Havn't been able to find the answer to what would be assumed to be a simple answer. But are the s14 and s15 radiators the same?

Reason being I have access to an s15 radiator, Will it drop into an s14 without any modifications?

Your better off buying an aftermarket 2 core replacement aluminium one.

Can get for less than $200 delivered. Iv got one from NZ seller "performance-guru" off eBay. Goin good after 2 years best bang for buck

Any difference between the 42mm and the 52mm ASI radiators?

For a street car with the occasional track, and hard driving would a 42mm be suffice? I heard with the 52mm, being bigger takes longer for the car to heat up and could be a pain for daily driving

I have the 52mm ASI radiator, on the highway it sits on 72 and about 76 in traffic. The hotest its got is 85 after a big drift with alot of rev limiter. I have stock thermostat, fan and shroud

With the 52mm raditor you will hold and extra 1.4l of coolant

Ah ok makes sense, so in order to fit the 52mm ASI radiator into a S14 with stock shroud is just shortening the hoses and it'l slip right in?

just noticed my s15 has a radiator in it with the old importers white marker on it saying "s14" so it must have had a s14 radiator put in it.. are they definately better than s15 ones?

The one Corp has above looks standard!

I'm running a 42mm aluminium ASI I think and don't think cops can really hassle you about them AFAIK.
