Increasing power

Recommended Posts

Ive got a stock SR20DET redtop and i want to reach over 200kw or close to 250.

The first thing that comes to mind is a bigger turbo. Will a S15 T28 BB support power up to 250kw.(Ive seen the Turbo spreadsheet, but cant work it out)

Finally installing a no-holes Intercooler from GkTech then a Greddy E-manage Ultimate ecu. Greddy says its "as close to a standalone as can be", will this support the type of power Im wanting.

Or am I going for the wrong pieces to my jigsaw. If someone who has modded a 180sx to around 250kw at the wheels can give me some pointers, id be very grateful.

Cheers

A T28 will not get you over 220kw MAX.

E-manage blue is shite.

Sorry mate, No cheap way to 250kw.

220=Fuel pump, s15 injectors, nistune, FMIC, turbo back exhaust.

yeepppps, listen to this guy.. personally i wouldnt go chasing even 220 from a T28, would rather have a safer tune and go just over 200..

either way, as old mate said, no cheap way to 250, if you must have it go 2871r, cams, z32, 740cc injectors, fuel pump, cooler, zorst and dump, and some sort of management.. get a tune and that SHOULD be around 250..

am i on the right track kemp?

E85 with a T28 ? You will max out the compressor before you run into octane issues. You might gain extra 10-15 kw with some added timing but waste of time for such POS turbo.

Not true, E85 will get you more out of any turbo. seen HKS 25/30 make nearly 290kw, when on pump fuel it would run out around 230.

Its magical stuff =) Pitty more servos dont stock it.

e85 has proven to push turbos beyond their efficiency, wind 18psi through the t28, timing, etc he will easily reach 220, possibly more

dont go use the no hole intercoolers, they are crap. also Z32 AFM, 550 injectors, M7920, GTR/Bosch 040 fuel pump, pod filter and turbo back exhaust and if u can be f**ked stage 1 cams

and a tune preferably nistune

TO REACH 250, I WOULD SUGGEST NOT A T28, MAYBE 71R? INJECTORS, INTAKE INTERCOOLER EXHAUST AND PROPER TUNED ECU, POWER FC?

i wouldnt push the t28 past 200rwkw. if you want that much power upgrade your turbo.

bigger turbo, injectors, boost, fmic, tbe + CAMS + tune, and FFS dont get a GTR fuel pump. just get a Bosch or Walbro, cheap as these days.

Or alternatively, don't be a baby back bitch

-Precision 5557

-BC Step 2 (?)

-040

-FMIC

-800cc injectors

2871 is a lame ass turbo. Better going for the 230 mark with T518z than that lag monster.

Going to need more than 800cc and a single pump.

5557, BC step 2, springs, retainers, 1000cc on E85.

Some fab work here and there.

Hello 370kw.

Go for the Hypergear AT28 G2 profile.

Seems to be good value for money.
