Fenix radiators

Recommended Posts

Was looking at the fenix 44mm radiator for my 180sx and was wondering if it was any good. Can get it for $270 new.

Or should I get something else that is roughly the same price??

Street driven car,

Wanted radiator so I can do a couple track and drift events.

^ People like the ebay spec ones for the engine bay bling yo

If that's what OP is talking about then a lot of people off here and evoOz use the ASI ones off ebay with out dramas for around the same price or less, if yiu have some extra coin go the Koyo.

No pics, saw it at WTAC. It's an all alloy one.

Here is a link to website: http://fenixautopart.com/products_list.asp?selectclassid=002004016&keyword=180SX

Apparently they are from NZ, have seen some reports of good quality build.

Just wondering if anyone here has one and can comment on it's cooling capabilities, especially in a 180!!!

Not sure on what alloy is used but i'm pretty sure they are manufactured in NZ and shipped here to Aus.

They aren't manufactured in New Zealand. No radiator for $270 is ever going to be made anywhere but a generic factory in China/Malaysia/Indonesia/etc. Even Koyo Radiators, whilst a Japanese company, are made in Indonesia now.

I had a JJR alloy job, the bottom split not long after purchase. Got a koyo racing rad from the states, wouldnt buy anything else again.

for what its worth take a look at the koyo rads being advertised on here for 550 and then look at the asi rads on ebay for 180-200, let me know if u can tell the difference. asi is perfect, youll get teh rad within 3 days theyre all in melbourne and ive never had any leak crack or anything. longest one ive used is 3 years, that was in 3 cars and outlived 5 engines, ive used about 20 in that time in various cars, none have ever had a problem.

ASI performance is the go, cheaper and will work, 85 is as hot as the s14 gets belting around the track.
