Whats with the front bar warping on the grille and under the left headlight??

As antonio said : vertex bars - well most s15 bars in general, tend to sag under the headlights ... plans are to put some bracing inside the bar to fix it....

imo, i still think the car is missing something..

It could be it needs more low to make that rear shot not look like the car is on stilts, also think it would of looked a bit better with wide body guards aswell so the tyre wasn't hanging out so much past the body line and was more hidden from a rear end view.

It's missing 10 vertex & origin canards (which are being made at the moment) and a over-the-top wanker GT wing haha

the canards will help level out the guards which, i agree, look out of place at the moment.

hey loz what happened with the v35 wheels? Followed you from racing industries up the m1, looks sad now haha. Too much cop attention?

no... a detailer used AutoSmart products on my wheels and it corroded them - destroying the finish...

they are getting a summons to small claims court soon, as they are denying any responsibility.

New wheels are on order.

Full rear undertray would be the tits Loz.

Yeah have been talking to a mate who is a aero engineer for one of the (v8) teams up here... once i move into the new place, i will be chatting to him about what we can add to the car in the way of under-body stuff...

once i move into the new place there will be a decent amount of room to work on the cars so will get to work on it then...

with rear undertrays you need to be carefull not to deflect too much heat away from the Dif as it can generate cooling problems which can mulch them, but i'm sure we will come up with something!

OK.... thought i would finally update my build thread....

The engine did let go finally ... it had around 80,000 on that engine, and running at 30psi it made 340rwkw.... for around 3 months...

Sitting on limiter around the skidpan was fun while it lasted haha

Since buying the new house (with a big shed) i decided to focus on some of my other businesses and so the S14 was basically left for dead in an abysmal state - covered in dust, droppings, leaves...

....until around 6 weeks ago.

It was crunch time, either get rid of it or get it running again. i decided on the latter since i love the car too much.

We pulled it out of the shed , gave it a wash down ( good quality satin paint shouldn't fuck out , the bird droppings and dirt washed straight off! ) ... and then took it down to JPP for a birthday!

So as of now... the car has a heap of new goodies going onto it...

Firstly :

After talking to the guys over at Exedy Australia, they recommended one of their new Twin Plate Ceramic clutches - It arrived a couple of days later and the boys at JPP fitted it up yesterday.

It's built to handle 700nm Torque so i'm guessing this should be definitely up to the task for the application.

On pulling apart the RB25 PPG Dog Engagement gearbox, found that a couple of the bearings were worn... luckily we found it in time, so it's down being rebuilt at the moment!

Update:

Had some premature bearing wear on the PPG Dogbox, which luckily we caught before it actually did any damage..

A set of new bearings and new Japanese CNC'ed RB25/SR Adapter from JPP will hopefully mean the box will last me for years to come!

Engine is in now, and will be going in for a tune later today.

Will post the dyno video later tonight.

Hey Loz, how did the dyno tune go?

Where's the car's status at now?

We demand updates.... Updates or ban. I kid I kid!

Please don't ban me! :)

Dyno Results were 455rwhp @ 20psi on 98RON...

If we threw it on E85 it would have alot more in it, so maybe down the track when 455hp just isn't enough haha.

Will post the graph soon!

Only just got back from Japan so am in the process of getting it registered this week so should have some more pics and details soon!

I would of just tuned it on E85 purely for the safety factor of it, even keeping the power at 455rwhp it would of made it on less boost and better timing =D

Could someone plz inform me on which bonnet and front bar plz

Front bar started life is a standard Vertex bar. We widened the top and bottom of the mouth of it to allow for full airflow to the intercooler, cut the bottom piece out, remade it in carbon and put it back in.

Bonnet is Carbon Fibre and similar to Masa Sports (but larger, more fitting vents)... brand is unknown, never seen one like it but it's definitely my favourite bonnet for s15...
