nigel/mazworks z32 adaptor kits

Recommended Posts

Quick question does anyone in australia make these kits anymore? nigel doesn't and said he may start again next year making them, and the postage kills me on the mazworks kits..are there any other options besides the alphaomega kits?

Installed one of these to an s15 pretty good kit don't get me wrong, but i just do not see how you can get full engagement of the spigot when the input shaft is spaced so far back with the thick adaptor plate. Also the shifter position I thought was going to be in stock position after all the talk-up of the kit was disapointed that it was down to the left and was firm up against the hole in the body. And lastly the tailshaft options given are a bit expensive, $750 for a custom 3.25" one piece yeah fair enough bitmore than i would normally pay for a one peice, but then its still $750 for them to mod your current tailshaft which would only be the front section modded leaving the other half untouched. I cannot see why this option would cost the same as a custom one-piece. But the gearbox lined up beautifully to the plate, the instructions were easy to understand, and everything seemed to be of high quality.

The bellhousing gets machined down to counter the adaptor plate

there is an frsport.com kit.. not sure if it would be anywhere near as good as a nigel or an alpha kit but.. looks kinda cheapish but still may do the job.

No it doesn't. Only for the s13/14 it gets machined.

I've tried contacting them a few times in regards to their kit but get no response from them. After speaking with donny, i think i will be going with his kit.

The S15's have the spigot in the flywheel, rather than the end of the crank like S13/14.

your worried about shifter not lining up in the alpha kit and your enquiring about the mazworx kits  frsport sell a fix for that also.

Shifter position doesn't bother me it was just with all the hype wing tried to make about the kits being the best etc I thought they would have made the shifter come out in the stock position as I am aware a few people have made a fix for it with the mazworks kits.

Jdi does a cut and shut bellhousing for rb25 box conversion. Few people running them with no problems. At least with a cut and shut bellhousing you don't have to worry about the adaptor plate coming loose.

I had a really poor service and product experience with Alpha Omega... Definitely recommend steering clear.
