Motul Viscosity Setting

Recommended Posts

Most road going cars wouldn't need an exact viscosity in order to get from A to B. But for some race cars with highly spec'd engines, a certain Viscosity Setting is required to get the most out the engine.

Viscosity Setting is not a widely known topic as it is usually reserved for the technically minded engineers of well financed race teams. Having a greater knowledge on lubricants could make all the difference at the track and on the street.

For the current line of 300V, there is a Viscosity Setting index by which you can follow to get an exact desired viscosity.

HTHS = High Temp/High Shear
