After session 2. Added the background.

Still a bit of background to be done at the top of my shoulder. And the bird has to be shaded and colour added to the flowers, but this is how it'll stay for a while.

Looks good man!

Guys can you clear something up for me? Bepanthen - use it or not?

have heard many things, one of which being bepanthen fades the colour. I've been told to use "Pro-Tat" instead?

I've heard that Pro-Tat is absolutely terrible.

My friend who is a tattoo artist, plus every artist I have seen have absolutely recommended bepanthen.

I reckon it depends on the person. I use pro tat and its amazing. However when I use bepanthen it f**ks up my Tattoo. Makes it fade, itch uncontrollably, just weird shit.

See, Schmenz, Dandrenat, i've heard the same. Every artist i've ever met uses bepanthen. So i might just stick with that rather than buying into the hype of my friends saying "bepanthen is sh*t use this stuff"

i've only ever used Bepanthen and never had any problems.

my most recent one on my leg i had to use whatever i could find though because they don't have Bepanthen in the US. ended up with a cream i read a few other people here have used, seemed to work ok but my leg was extremely itchy the last couple of days.

got this started yesterday at Ace of Hearts in San Pedro, Cali.

2 hours of outline, colour next week.

i'll let everyone figure out what it's from.

whole thing was done by Javie at Ace of Hearts. top dude, get along with him well and he does awesome work, not much more you can ask for in an artist.

he also did an anchor on my arm but i don't have a photo of it yet.

rate this underwater scene as my most painful tattoo so far. got the colour done around a week after the outline, it was still pretty tender. the worst part was the blue shading, first shade of blue was fine, but the darker blue ontop of the lighter shade took some serious mental work to get through.

An episode from Tintin.

yeah, it's the cover of the Red Rackhams Treasure comic.

he had to slightly rearrange it to get it all to fit properly, but i think it came out good.

I wouldn't judge the cream on making the tattoo heal, my elbow took 4 weeks to heal, whilst the rest was pretty much healed in 2!

Only even used bepanthen though.

Preview of finished sleeve, another 3 hours today and it's finally done!

Above photo was taken in the dark, with an SLR with my left hand lol.

He has already started the design for my left arm, just gotta get the time and save some coinage!

Also not going below that point for future career reasons!
